Ashley Darby‘s friend Deborah Williams is reacting to Candiace Dillard Bassett‘s “Sesame Street” diss as husband Chris Bassett calls out Deborah’s “lies.” On the latest episode of Real Housewives of Potomac, the ‘friend of’ suggested Chris approached her at a party and initiated a flirty conversation.
In the same episode, producers showed footage of the party in question. In the clip, Chris is staring at his phone and appears to be uninterested in the conversation Deborah started. Many fans were angered by the clip, claiming Deborah was searching for a storyline.
On a January 1 Instagram post, Deborah reacted to Candiace’s previous Sesame Street diss.
“Happy New Year everyone! Oh, excuse me while I fluff my natural eyebrow,” said Deborah before taking out an Elmo puppet, who works on her brow.
She then showcased the Cookie Monster, who feeds her an actual cookie. “I love my friends … a little thirsty though,” said Deborah, seemingly dissing Candiace. At this point, she drinks from a Sesame Street cup before wiping the Cookie Monster’s eyes with a napkin.
“Happy TRUE year!” she wrote in the caption before asking fans to tune in “for the moment of TRUTH.”
After the episode aired, Chris took to Twitter and challenged Deborah’s claim that he approached her at the party.
“So who came up to who asked introduced who to who and what to who????” he asked, seemingly pointing to the footage of the party.

In a separate tweet, the 44-year-old addressed multiple castmates’ claims that he acted inappropriately.
“I would just like to again, thank #rhop production and the team in the editing room,” wrote Chris, “for continuing to show the LIES these women continue to tell about me.”
