Madison LeCroy revealed she’s “not happy” about Kathryn Dennis’ departure from Southern Charm, but she confirmed that she herself is “back full throttle.” Her comments came on the heels of another castmate’s alleged firing — Naomie Olindo, who narrated the entire show last season.
It appears Madison is filling the hole left by Kathryn and Naomie’s exits. Earlier this week, a report surfaced that cast members were unaware of Kathryn’s departure and had no idea what was happening.
On a recent Amazon Live stream, Madison addressed her friend Kathryn’s departure.
“I’m not happy about it, honestly,” said the 32-year-old on Wednesday, January 11, via Page Six.
“I think a lot of us are really sad,” Madison went on, seemingly referring to the cast. “I’m not really convinced. I mean, do we have a show without her? No.”
She revealed her hope that Kathryn will “surprise” fans and return at some point.
“She was my buddy, so I am not thrilled about it, but like I said, I don’t know,” Madison added. “We’re in the very early stages of all this, so who’s to say she won’t come back.”
Despite her friend’s departure, Madison revealed that she herself will be “back full throttle” next season despite her limited role in season eight.
“I’m going to show you guys what I’ve been doing, what’s going on with me, where I’m at in my life, so that will be really fun and interesting to do,” said Madison.
Kathryn confirmed her exit on Wednesday, in a statement on Page Six.
“What a wild ride it’s been!” expressed the 31-year-old. “Can you believe I was 21 when I first started filming ‘Southern Charm,’ back in its first season? That was in 2013, and in the decade that followed, it’s safe to say my life changed in ways I could never imagine.”
