Dolores Catania revealed she almost got physical with castmate Jennifer Aydin, and she suggested her boyfriend Paul Connell deescalated the altercation.
In the Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 premiere, Dolores and Jennifer experienced a shocking verbal exchange over Dolores’ treatment of her last season.
Speaking with Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, Dolores shared she almost got physical with Jennifer during their fight on the season 13 premiere.
“In that scene, [Paul] stands behind me and he puts his hand down my back, and I wanted to throw things, I wanted to run out the door after her and I wanted to get ahold of her,” shared Dolores.
The star continued, “It might have saved Jennifer’s life this season that I had somebody.”
Paul then concurred, “I think I actually did save Jennifer’s life.”
At the end of the episode, Jennifer called Dolores a “f**king c**t.” Last year, Jennifer accused her friend of “jump[ing] ship” as castmate Margaret Josephs exposed husband Bill Aydin’s past cheating.
“F–k her, f–k her, she looks like an old f–king handbag,” yelled Jennifer via Page Six, as she exited the house where the argument occurred.
In the podcast, Dolores shared she doesn’t feel the “weight of the world” anymore now that she has a partner.
“I’ve been divorced [for] 25 years and I’ve raised two kids by myself, and I’ve had a lot of responsibilities on my plate, and sometimes there was a lack of patience for things because of everything that I had on top of me,” she said.
“I have somebody in my life that off-camera takes a lot of heat off [of] me on things.”
She previously told the outlet, “[Paul’s] a voice of reason, he’s very logical, he makes a lot of sense. He puts a lot of wit into it. He’s very, very funny and he’s very smart.”
