Jax Taylor Blasts Tom Schwartz for “Protecting” Sandoval Amid Scandal, Plus Jax and Brittany Land New Vanderpump Rules Special on Peacock

Jax Taylor has some words of advice for Tom Schwartz after the latter’s chaotic Watch What Happens Live interview—stop protecting Tom Sandoval.

On Tuesday’s April 11 episode of his podcast, When Reality Hits, which he cohosts with his wife, Brittany Cartwright, Jax said that Schwartz’s rambling, albeit bombshell-dropping, appearance on the Bravo talk show was difficult to sit through. Jax watched as Schwartz tried to talk through the mess that has become “Scandoval” after Sandoval and Raquel Leviss‘ months-long affair was made public.

“I love Tom, but gosh, that was hard for me to watch,” Jax stated “I knew he was going to get hit hard with the questions, and he did.”

The Vanderpump Rules alum agreed with Andy Cohen‘s evaluation of Schwartz’s conversation skills as the WHHL host dubbed his incessant rambling as “word salad.”

“He was throwing out all these big words,” Jax said of the Schwartz & Sandy’s cofounder. “I think he was dodging it. I’m like, ‘Tom, why are you protecting this guy? He is literally ruining your life. He’s putting you between a rock and a hard place.’”

During the interview, Schwartz controversially advised fans to go easy on Sandoval because he’s “down bad” and to “give him a hug” if you see him as he navigates the fallout.

Schwartz’s words did not sit well with Jax who described Sandoval as a “monster” and slammed Tom for trying to protect him.

“The world has already made its opinion on Tom,” Jax said. “There’s nothing you’re gonna say on this show that’s gonna change anybody’s mind. They’ve had their minds made up. Stop protecting him. You need to get a little bit of a backbone.”

In other news, Jax and Brittany just announced that they will be appearing on Peacock’s Watch With program. The program will see Jax and Brittany watch the current season of Vanderpump Rules for a total of three episodes and give their unfiltered opinions on the Bravo show and, of course, “Scandoval.”

The feature will “take fans behind the scenes and give their perspective on all the VPR drama including the infamous ‘Scandoval’ that has rocked reality television,” according to Deadline.

The first episode dropped on April 13th. The final two will air April 20th, and April 27th on Peacock.
