NeNe Leakes clapped back after Bravo edited her out of the latest episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta. The alum called it a “shame” what people can “get away” with, and she hinted at what viewers don’t know. In the episode, a former season’s opening intro showed all castmates but NeNe. Many fans were shocked by the removal of her image, given her influence on the show’s success, and they expressed their disappointment on social media.
Last year, NeNe sued Bravo over allegations of discrimination and a racially insensitive work environment. A few months later, the suit was reportedly dismissed, as one source claimed there was potentially insufficient evidence.
After NeNe was edited out, the alum took to Twitter and thanked her fans for the support.
“Thank you tweetie pies for all of your DM’s and comments!” she wrote on June 12, the day after the episode aired. “I see everything you are sending to me!”
She seemed to throw shade at the network for editing out her likeness. “It’s really just a shame people can do these things,” said NeNe, “and get away wit it.”
Ending her post, NeNe hinted at what viewers aren’t aware of. “If only you really knew!” she said mysteriously. “If only you knew.”

“NeNe Leakes’ discrimination lawsuit against Bravo, NBC Universal, Andy Cohen, [RHOA] producers, etc. has been dismissed without prejudice in a joint stipulation. That means NeNe can sue again in the future, but this case is officially over,” wrote PEOPLE reporter Dave Quinn in an August 2022 tweet.
“Seems we’ll never know exactly what happened, unless one of the parties talks,” Dave continued. “From her side, it could be there was insufficient evidence to win, or NeNe didn’t want to spend the money it would cost to fight it, or apologies (and offers) were made that satisfied her?”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 15 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
