Though Gia Giudice won’t be appearing on the season 13 Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion in person, she does make an appearance via phone call in a sneak peek of the concluding part three episode. In the clip, she confronts allegations allegedly made about her aunt, Melissa Gorga.
Viewers will remember that during season 13 of RHONJ, Gia was accused of calling and telling her uncle Joe Gorga that he “could do better” than Melissa after rumors began circulating that Melissa had cheated on Joe.
Joe first made the accusation during one of his RHONJ confessionals, saying, “Gia calls me up, and she’s like, ‘You know, I heard what happened. We just think that you can do better. Mommy [Teresa Giudice] thinks so, we all do.’”
According to Gia, who has since been blocked by Joe and Melissa on social media, the conversation didn’t go down the way her aunt and uncle are saying it did.
In the clip, Teresa opens the can of worms by calling Gia to clear up the accusations, saying, “I’m gonna call my daughter right now.”
“So, she can lie for you?” Joe quips. “Of course she is. What, am I gonna make this up?”
Melissa whispers to Joe in the background, “Leave it alone. Don’t even comment. Just let her say it.”
As host Andy Cohen asks her if she did, in fact, make the defaming statement, Gia firmly states that she never uttered the words, and there was a phone call, but it only pertained to Teresa’s 2022 wedding to her now-husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas.
“I called him regarding the wedding,” Gia tells Andy. “Saying that he should do the right thing, that Nonna and Nonno are looking down on them, and my Mom wanted [Joe] to walk her down the aisle.”
“I never told him that he could do better than my Aunt Melissa,” the 22-year-old asserts. She then addresses her Uncle directly, stating, “And it’s sad, Zio Joe, that you’re trying to call me a liar.”
Andy concludes the conversation as Melissa skeptically asks, “Why would [Joe] ever make something like that up? At this point, it’s like a joke.”
“Uh, because he’s married to you?” Teresa snarks.
“I just don’t understand this. I was always good to you. I always put you first. We were best friends, we were best friends,” she tells her brother, visibly tearing up. “This is disgraceful. This is absolutely disgraceful. I really can’t.”
Teresa then abruptly gets up from the couch and begins to storm off the reunion set in a rage.
“F—king disgusting. Disgusting, disgusting. This is not the way I would raise my children. EVER. Mommy and Daddy… you should be ashamed of yourself!” Teresa exclaims as she screams at Bravo cameras not to follow her.
