Teresa Giudice is being accused of being the one behind the recent reveal of cheating allegations against her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga.
Following what was described as a “very tense” taping of The Real Housewives of New Jersey finale, a couple of new reports are revealing new details about the ladies’ family feud, with one report claiming Teresa had been “pushing” for the rumors to come out and a second suggesting it was her loyal BFF, Jennifer Aydin, who ultimately brought them up on-camera.
After it was noted that Margaret Josephs‘ former friend, Laura Marasca Jensen, had shared “a lot of deep dark secrets to Teresa and Jennifer [Aydin]” in hopes of securing a spot on the show, an insider told Us Weekly on August 12 that one of those secrets was that Melissa had supposedly made out “with this guy while she was on a press tour in the city.”
“This ‘rumor’ was something that Teresa had known about for over a year and had been pushing for it to come out. Finally, the finale was perfect timing,” the source explained. “Teresa usually uses someone to bring up drama, so she played a part in that.”
But while the Us Weekly source claimed it was the new cast member Danielle Cabral who allegedly brought up the accusations at Teresa’s prompting, an insider told Page Six that it was actually Jennifer.
Either way, the outlet insisted that Melissa and her husband Joe Gorga aren’t stressing over the “ridiculous” claims, which involve their family friend, actor Nick Barrotta. In fact, Joe and Nick have been friends for years and are still on good terms with each other.
“They’re laughing about it. [They’ve] all been friends for years,” the source said.
As for Laura, she spoke to Page Six on Tuesdays, saying she “[stands] by [her] truth.”
“I never said [the rumor] was true. I said I was told by Margaret that someone saw that. I never said that Melissa did that,” she insisted.
The outlet went on to mention that Laura has auditioned, unsuccessfully, to be on RHONJ, not one, not two, but three times — and that she supposedly discussed the rumor with Teresa and Jennifer during a 4-hour meet-up to try and weasel her way onto the show.
“She went to two people who didn’t like [Margaret] crying to them and telling them all these stories,” a source said. “Things with an ounce of truth, she twisted it. So were Margaret and Melissa ever out with these guys? Yes. Was there ever any kissing? No. No one made out with anybody.”
Because Teresa was said to have been involved in the sharing of the rumor, she and Joe opted out of her wedding to Luis Ruelas last weekend and admitted to having a “laundry list” of reasons for skipping the event on an episode of their podcast.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
