Frank Catania may have known what he was talking about when he proclaimed in May that Jackie Goldschneider had been demoted from her full-time role on The Real Housewives of New Jersey amid production on its 13th season.
Although Jackie addressed the rumors on a number of occasions, suggesting that she hadn’t been filming in a reduced capacity, a new report claims Jackie will, in fact, be starring as a “friend” on season 13 as three new women, including one additional part-time cast member, join the show.
“Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, and Jennifer Aydin will be joined by Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda as full-time housewives for season 13 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” the Real Housewives Franchise shared on Instagram on August 4, naming RHONJ Obsessed, also on Instagram, as their source.
The outlet then noted that despite recent suggestions that Jackie would be returning to her full-time position on the show, she has been demoted along with Jennifer Fessler, who will appear as the second “friend” of season 13.
In the original report shared by the RHONJ Obsessed fan page on Instagram, the outlet confirmed that both Danielle and Rachel “made their mark on [RHONJ] this season.”
“Both have been promoted to be full time housewives!! Congratulations Danielle [and] Rachel we can’t wait to see you on our TV screens soon! Jackie Goldschneider [and] newbie Jenn Fessler will have friend of roles,” they wrote in their exclusive report.
In May, amid rumors suggesting she’d appear only as a friend amid RHONJ season 13, Jackie appeared on Access Hollywood‘s Housewives Nightcap, where she said that although some of the drama of the series is hard to go through, she hoped to return for the new episodes.
“I love the show,” Jackie admitted. “I don’t always love the kind of drama that can destroy a family but there are so many good parts of the show and I love those parts so, and I love being a part of the Bravo family. So yes, I’d love to come back.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 13 is expected to premiere on Bravo sometime later this year or early next year.
