As reported, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa is set to marry Luis this weekend, and it appears the tension has continued to build up ever since Teresa snubbed sister-in-law Melissa by refusing to make her a bridesmaid at her wedding.
Page Six is now reporting that the Gorgas, who a source insists “were invited” to the August 6 nuptials, will be absent following some drama that took place during the season finale party that was filmed this week.
“There was a very tense ‘Housewives’ finale filmed earlier this week,” a source told the outlet.
During an interview back in May, Joe called the bridesmaid snub a ‘smack in the face.’
“Regardless if she liked my wife or she didn’t like my wife, she’s basically smacking me in the face and she’s giving me no respect and she’s making it hard on me,” Joe said on Melissa Gorga On Display. “It’s basically, ‘I don’t care about my brother’ because if it was me getting married, and she was with [Luis Ruelas], even if I didn’t like Luis, I would put Luis in the wedding.”
Melissa also agreed with her husband, stating she felt the snub set them back because Teresa included so much of Luis’ family in her wedding party.
“If you’re going to put in Luis’ sisters and his sister’s husbands I think it sets us all back because it’s almost like, it’s insulting [Joe], like, ‘Hey Joe, I love you. You’re my only living relative but I am not going to put your wife in my wedding,'” said Melissa.
The news of the wedding snub is even more surprising as Teresa hosted her bridal shower this week, and Melissa was in attendance. The RHONJ finale party was however filmed after the bridal shower.
As previously reported, Teresa’s wedding is expected to be filmed for an upcoming spinoff on Bravo.
