Melissa Gorga was recently accused of cheating on husband Joe Gorga with their longtime, and also married, friend, Nick Barrotta. But according to a source close to the situation, the suggestion that the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has been unfaithful is “completely ridiculous.”
Following a rumored blowout between Joe and his sister Teresa Giudice‘s now-husband, Luis Ruelas, which was reportedly prompted by Teresa’s role in the passing of the rumors, an insider is sharing new details in regard to Melissa’s actual relationship with Nick.
“This is just completely ridiculous,” a source told the Daily Mail on August 9. “Nick and his wife Liz have been close friends with the Gorgas for years… There is absolutely zero truth to this nasty rumor and it’s comical that it even needs to be addressed.”

In photos shared by the outlet, Nick is seen spending time with both Joe and Melissa.
“He is shocked that someone would make up something so nasty in an attempt to destroy two families,” the insider said of Nick, adding that the actor and television host, who has been seen on Divorce Court and The Oval, was blindsided by the reports.

As the outlet explained, an insider previously said that a “crazy situation” had taken place between Teresa and Melissa, with the ladies engaging in a screaming match that served as the final straw for Melissa and Joe.
“[It was] step too far for Joe,” the source shared.
According to a report from All About the Real Housewives, Laura Marasca Jensen, a former friend of Margaret Josephs, shared the rumor off-camera with Jennifer Aydin, who proceeded to tell Teresa. But it wasn’t Teresa who brought up the claim on-camera even though she was ultimately blamed. Instead, the outlet said it was newbie Danielle Cabral who passed on the information, which had allegedly been told to Laura by Margaret in confidence.
“[Luis] was upset that Teresa was the one being blamed and Joe Gorga [ended] up charging at [Luis] to the point that he had to be restrained,” the outlet revealed.
The Daily Mail went on to say that they had previously learned Joe was asked by Luis to serve as a groomsman in his wedding. However, because Teresa refused to include Melissa in her bridal party, Joe declined.
“He just considered it very disrespectful and there was no way he was going to say, ‘yes,’ when Melissa wasn’t part of Teresa’s bridal party,” the source revealed.
