Paul Staehle’s family is reportedly worried he’s missing in Brazil after a series of strange messages indicated that the 90 Day Fiancé star was in need of help – and eventually lost contact.
The ups and downs of Paul and his wife Karine Martins have been documented on both the TLC show and their own social media accounts, and the stars have openly discussed their issues. Paul, 40, and Karine, 27, share two kids together, and she recently wrote a cryptic post addressing her husband in the past tense.
Paul Staehle’s mother told TMZ that he appears to be lost in South America. Edna explained that the family is worried after Paul, who has been traveling abroad since July, sent distressing texts on Thursday.
The outlet reported that Paul told his mom he was lost in Brazil, and needed her help, and he gave her some contact info of a few people who could possibly assist him.

Now, his mom said she can no longer reach him, and his phone is either off, out of battery, or has lost its signal. Edna said she tried to reach out to the people who could possibly help him, but they didn’t respond either.
Karine, Paul’s wife, has alerted her family who lives in the country, letting them know that he may need help, though Karine is reportedly in the U.S. and does not know if the authorities in Brazil are searching for him.
Karine also caused some alarm when she shared a now-deleted video reel featuring Paul and referred to him in the past tense. According to Screenrant, Karine captioned her post: “Not all of our memories were bad. Our children loved you very much.” She continued, “We will never forgot [sic] you or the good memories we all shared.”
Even more, Karine also shared a troubling post about life insurance amid Paul’s disappearance. The post read: “Life insurance is a final way of telling your loved ones, ‘I’ve got you.'”
In 2022, the reality star and his son were in a Kentucky missing persons police bulletin, though they later turned up. Edna is hoping that Paul’s current situation isn’t a stunt and said she’s praying for him – as his last ping came from the Amazon.
