Jen Shah’s marriage with Sharrieff Shah is looking good despite her time in prison, according to the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star’s rep.
The representative also shared that Jen has befriended tech mogul Elizabeth Holmes, who is currently in the same federal prison in Texas.
Jen’s rep told PEOPLE that she and her husband Sharrieff are still “going strong” in spite of the struggles concerning her sentence.
“Jen and Coach Shah are doing really well,” he said. “He still sees her often, and they talk on the phone frequently. There are still ups and downs, of course, due to the long distances, but their marriage is still going strong.”
Her representative continued, “He’s so supportive of her. He’s still very much by his wife. He’s 100% behind Jen.”
The rep also told the outlet that Jen has become “friends” with Elizabeth Holmes, who is facing an 11-year prison sentence after being convicted on fraud-related charges. The former tech mogul entered the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas, in May.
“They’re friends. They’re both rehabilitating and have bonded over being on this journey of positive change,” said Chris Giovanni. “Their situations brought them together, and they understand one another well. They’re getting through it together.”
“Jen’s given her a lot of advice. She’s even met Elizabeth’s baby and held her,” claimed Chris, noting that Jen was “very loving” to both Elizabeth and the child.
Per the rep, Elizabeth attends Jen’s “Sha-mazing Abs” fitness classes, which the Bravo alum conducts in the prison.
“Jen gets all the ladies together, and they rally behind her while she teaches them fitness moves, and Elizabeth has been there right along with them,” said Chris, who added that Jen tutors other women who are trying to obtain GEDs. He said Jen and Elizabeth have “changed a lot behind bars.”
“Jen’s not anything like the show portrayed her to be. She’s so peaceful now,” the rep added. “She’s still funny and has her one-liners, but she’s graduated from anger management classes and is much more grounded.”
He said Jen not only looks “reunion-ready” and “phenomenal,” but she is also learning from her journey about “being a better person.”
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season four airs Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
