The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip series is a fun way for cast members from different cities to come together for a vacation. However, the show has hit a couple of snags with serious allegations. One such allegation comes from Marco Vega, who was a butler in season two.
As fans will recall, he previously sued Bravo and Shed Media over allegations that Brandi Glanville and Phaedra Parks sexually harassed him. Now, both media entities are calling for the courts to toss out the lawsuit.
According to documents obtained by Radar Online, “It was Ms. Glanville who on RHUGT in the Berkshires sexually harassed and abused Marco Vega.”
Marco’s lawyer also feels that the network was in the wrong for hiring Brandi in the first place. The suit says, “Defendants had overwhelming prior notice of Ms. Glanville’s prior deviant sexual proclivities and sexually harassing conduct.”
The suit continues, “However, despite this knowledge, Defendants wrongfully continued to hire Glanville for their shows. Defendants allowed, condoned and even encouraged Ms. Glanville’s sexually aggressive and offensive conduct on others on the sets.”
Perhaps the most damning part of the suit claims that Bravo and Shed Media encouraged this behavior.
It claims producers encouraged her “to become drunk on the set so that she would be more likely to commit outrageous and harassing acts.”
Phaedra is also listed in the lawsuit despite not being sued.
“Defendants further encouraged other housewives such as Phaedra Parks and others to become inebriated and sexually harass others. As a result of Defendants’ actions and inactions, Ms. Glanville and Phaedra Parks sexually abused and harassed Marco Vega causing him emotional distress and other damages.”
Marco says that Phaedra slapped him on the butt and that Brandi ripped off his shirt. Brandi even told him, “Earn your money, Marco. Take your shirt off. Do something.”
However, Bravo has reasons for wanting the case dismissed. According to them, Marco filed the suit in the wrong state. Additionally, two of the claims are beyond the statute of limitations. They called another of his claims “frivolous.”
Bravo’s motion to dismiss the case also says, “Plaintiff’s vague allegation that he told producers that he was being sexually harassed by Glanville lacks any specificity, including when he allegedly made this statement, to whom, and how they responded.”
Brandi is also entangled in drama from a more recent Ultimate Girls Trip season, where she was accused of kissing Caroline without consent. However, Phaedra defended her.
