Teresa Giudice‘s daughter, 19-year-old Gabriella Giudice, refused to allow Bravo cameras to film her move to the University of Michigan for The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14.

After fans watched as Melissa Gorga, 45, and Joe Gorga, 49, dropped their daughter, 18-year-old Antonia Gorga, off at the University of Delaware, and saw footage of Teresa, 51, and Luis Ruelas, 50, celebrating Gabriella’s next step, an insider has shared why Gabriella, who Teresa shares with her ex-husband Joe Giudice, 51, didn’t want her move to Ann Arbor, Michigan, filmed.

According to a May 27 report from All About the Real Housewives, Gabriella, who has been the most private of Teresa’s four daughters, declined Bravo‘s offer to film the move because she wanted to have a “more intimate” experience as she started a “new chapter in her life.”

Gabriella also didn’t want “attention being drawn to her” during her transition into the University of Michigan, where she has since joined the Tri Delta sorority.

As RHONJ fans may recall, Teresa celebrated her daughter’s admission into the university last year with a post shared on her Instagram page.

“My beautiful Gabriella, you never cease to amaze me. I’m so proud of what you’ve accomplished. We all see the amount of effort and hard [work] you put into everything you do! I’m a super proud mom today and every day. Love you beyond words,” Teresa wrote at the time.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 14 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
