Scheana Shay Shades Kristen Doute for Seemingly Referencing R. Kelly to Sell Merch, Plus Suggests Two Couples on The Valley Would Quit If Reunion Had Filmed and “Certain Things Were Said”

Scheana Shay shaded Kristen Doute for allegedly referencing R. Kelly to sell merchandise. Back in 2022, the recording artist was convicted of sex trafficking, racketeering, and child sexual abuse. Scheana also suggested that two couples on The Valley would’ve quit if the reunion had filmed and “certain things were said.”

Kristen recently indicated that she doesn’t want Scheana or Lala Kent to transfer from Vanderpump Rules to the new spinoff, and it seems Kristen and Scheana are no longer on good terms. Some speculate that the drama was caused by Scheana’s loyalty to Janet Caperna – who’s now feuding with Kristen and her friend Zack Wickham.

On Instagram, Kristen promoted her ‘Petty with a Purpose’ shirts, captioning the post with what seemed to be a reference to the song ‘Bump n’ Grind’ by R. Kelly.

“Our mind is telling us no, but our petty is telling us yes… 😏,” wrote Kristen, along with a pic of herself with Zack in the merchandise.

Scheana shared her reaction in the comments.

“Not the R Kelly reference…. 😬,” she wrote.

In Kelly’s 1993 song, the lyrics start out: “My mind’s tellin’ me no, but my body, my body’s tellin’ me yes.”

But Kristen reacted to Scheana’s diss, asking in the comments, “huh?”

Zack added, “we got the caption from an e-card lol we had no idea it was a lyric from him obviously.”

On her Scheananigans podcast, Scheana shared why the absence of a Valley reunion is somewhat good.

“I think if there was a reunion, the cast for season 2 would change,” she said, via @breakingtherulespod on Instagram. “I don’t want to say who, but between two of the couples, I don’t know that both would be returning. I could have absolutely seen that, if certain things were said to [the] couple.”

“I could see them just being like, ‘it doesn’t serve me anymore,'” explained Scheana, who suggested viewers will understand what she’s talking about in season 2. “And then season 3 people might not return.”

She also indicated that a reunion could’ve deepened the cast divide, and claimed she recently ran into Zack at Pride.

“I saw Zack. He looked me dead in the eye, and he turned away,” she said. “I go, ‘Okay. So that’s where we’re at now. Got it.’ And you know what, I’m fine with that.”
