There has been quite a bit of drama between Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi since they first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé. Things have taken even more of a turn in recent years, and now Angela is seeking an annulment from Michael. Additionally, it seems he is shading his estranged wife on social media as the united front continues to fall.
As many will recall, it was only a few months ago that Angela took to social media to inform fans that Michael had gone missing. However, he then made it known to the public and law enforcement that he was fine and that he felt “unsafe” with her. Things haven’t been the same between the two since then.
According to InTouch Weekly, Angela wants to end her marriage to Michael. This is based on court documents the outlet obtained, which were dated June 20 of this year. According to the documents, “The parties have continuously lived in a state of separation for 30 days preceding this filing.”
The court docs go on to say that Michael “fraudulently induced” her to marry him “for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status in the United States.” For context, he is from Nigeria, which is where they tied the knot in 2020. Angela also says that Michael abandoned her and that he was wrapped up in a “conspiracy.”
According to the court documents, “After [Michael] abandoned [Angela], [Angela] discovered that [Michael] was engaged in a conspiracy with other Nigerian men to induce U.S. citizens into marriage for the purpose of gaining legal permanent resident status.”
Angela is expecting the annulment to go smoothly as they have no kids and do not own any property together. She wants him to pay a “reasonable amount of attorney fees and court costs in the case.” She also filed a declaration with the court because she has been unable to locate her estranged husband. The docs read, “A diligent search has been made, and [Michael] cannot be found within the State. I do not know where [Michael] lives or where [Michael] can be found.”
They continue, “He abandoned the marital residence in Hazlehurst, and he has not contacted me. He only arrived in this country in December of 2023, so I do not have any information about his known associates.” Her attorney requested that the judge allow them to serve Michael via an ad in the local newspaper due to his whereabouts being unknown. The judge signed off on the request, but Michael is yet to respond.
InTouch Weekly is also reporting that Michael has seemingly thrown shade at Angela in a recent Instagram post. He took to the platform to post pictures of himself with the caption, “People will notice the change in your attitude towards them. But won’t notice their behavior that made you change.” He used the hashtags “positive mind” and “stay strong.”
Kobe Blaise from 90 Day Fiance commented on the post, saying, “No human born of a woman can prevent the sun from shining its light across the earth. You are blessed, my friend.”
We’re sure this isn’t the last we’ll hear about these two going their separate ways.
