The cameras are currently rolling for season 9 of Summer House. Last season was a massive hit with fans, and they are anticipating the next installment to live up to where the show left off. Now, Paige DeSorbo is talking about what fans can expect, what filming with Lindsay Hubbard while she’s pregnant is like, and not having Danielle Olivera on the show anymore.
Of course, the potential drama between Lindsay and her ex-fiance, Carl Radke, is a major reason why fans are excited about the show coming back. As most will recall, the finale saw them dissolving their engagement. Now, they have both moved on and Lindsay is expecting a child with a new man.
Recently, Paige sat down with US Weekly and discussed her recent trip to Italy, being a new cat mom, and how her sense of fashion has changed over the years. However, one of the first highlights had to do with family pressure to get engaged and have kids with Craig Conover.
She says, “I think our families are the only people that have never like pressured us or even asked really.” Paige continues, “Like my parents have not asked like ‘oh when are you getting engaged?’ his parents haven’t either, so as long as they’re not pressuring us, I don’t feel pressured.”
The interviewer then asks Paige if it offends her when people ask about her relationship timeline. She explains, “Not at all. I always use this example. When I was younger, and the Kardashians first came on, I was obsessed. I remember being so mad that Kim Kardashian didn’t show her wedding to Kanye on the show.”
She then says she would “feel like a hypocrite” if she didn’t have her wedding televised because of how mad she got at Kim.
They then discuss the upcoming season of Southern Charm and how often Paige is in South Carolina. She responds, “I’m still pretty 50/50. I was definitely down there for some of it. I’m not completely intertwined in everything. I wasn’t there for some of their explosive fights. But of course, I got the gossip from Craig.”
When asked to describe the upcoming season of Summer House, Paige said, “I don’t want this taken as a negative. It has a very different vibe than we’ve had, but it’s not a bad vibe. We’ve had a lot of fun. I mean, we have a pregnant woman, and I have used every excuse that Lindsay has used. I’m like, we’re pregnant. I really can’t play kickball today. You know, we’re pregnant, so we’re not going to the club tonight. So that’s been really helpful for me to stay in bed more.”
Paige also opens up about having predicted Lindsay’s pregnancy but it still being somewhat of a surprise. She says, “Yes and no like I was surprised but also there’s nothing Lindsay can do that will like really surprise me now at this point so I wasn’t.”
Regarding how being pregnant has changed Lindsay, Paige explains, “I always say Amanda is the chillest bride. Lindsay has been the chillest pregnant person. I don’t know if her hormones are just like calm or what’s going on. Maybe it’s that she’s having a girl, but she’s been very chill.
In terms of Carl, Paige says, “Carl’s doing great. He soft launched his bar, Soft, so that was really fun so he’s having a good summer, too.”
She also addresses the controversy surrounding the name of Carl’s bar and says she thinks it’s a good name and that she’s hopeful the bar does well.
The interviewer then discusses Danielle’s absence from the show and how Paige feels, given their past. She says, “Obviously, it’s always sad when someone’s not coming back, and obviously, you want someone to come into the house who wants to be there, and she was getting so busy and wanted to do other things, but I’ve seen her recently; she’s thriving.”
She also gave an update on her friendship with Amanda Batula, given the drama between their significant others. She says they are good “always and forever.” She also thinks it would be impossible for them to fight.
Paige also discussed West Wilson and said, “West is having a fun summer, too. I went a little hard at him on the reunion, but I think some things needed to be said. I am not someone who holds a grudge. I am quick to get over things.”
Regarding if Hannah Berner would ever return to the show, Paige says, “I would never say never for anything, but Hannah’s in such a different place now, and she’s honestly so busy that I don’t even think she’d be able to fit it in honestly.”
Finally, she also discussed the psychic from the show, saying she’d be engaged by the end of the year. According to her, “I don’t know what Craig is cooking up.”
Of course, there is no word on when season 9 of Summer House will air. In the meantime, fans can catch up with the show on Peacock.
