Katie Ginella was called out by her former publicist, Amir Yass, on a podcast on Wednesday.
Amid ongoing claims that she was in touch with a number of different bloggers amid production on The Real Housewives of Orange County season 19, Katie, 41, was accused of lying about several things, plotting against the marriage of Heather, 56, and Terry Dubrow, 66, and suggesting Gina Kirschenheiter, 41, had made a racially charged statement to her.
“Katie has f*cked me over,” Amir declared on the August 20 episode of JUST SAYIN’ with Justin Martindale, later adding, “She was sweet to me until I think I had no use to her.”
According to Amir, Katie approached him because she wanted his help with PR and hoped to land a co-hosting gig on Good Morning America.
“’Let’s aim lower. You were on the Golf Channel. We gotta aim lower,’” he explained of his reaction.
After establishing a “genuine friendship” with Katie and going to dinner with her, Gretchen Rossi, 46, and a potential RHOC newbie named Noreen, who didn’t end up on the show, Amir got a call from Katie in which she informed him that she could no longer be seen with him.
“She’s about to sign the contract, and she calls me. She’s like, ‘[Executive producer] Alex Baskin said I can’t be seen with you because I’m feeding you information,’ obviously, which is the narrative of the season. But then she proceeds to like … I had gotten her fashion week front row. She’s like, ‘Can I just still go?’ I’m like, ‘No b*tch. You go with me. In what world? You can’t just go by yourself,’” Amir shared.
“Then she pretended to not know me, and I’m like, ‘Girl, you told me crazy stuff,’” he noted.
Among the crazy things he heard from Katie, who he said was “yelling drunk,” “cussing,” and “not the Katie on TV,” Amir said Katie threatened to “expose Heather and Terry’s marriage.”
“She’s crazy. She’s on the right show, but I’m like, ‘You’re gonna look crazy going for an institution like their marriage. It’s not gonna work,’” Amir stated.
Moving on to the drama surrounding Katie’s potential communication with Reality Checked host Kiki Monique, Amir said he was firmly on Team Kiki.
“Kiki does not lie. I know Kiki. I’ve met her many times. She’s not a liar. So, if Kiki’s saying it, I trust her over Katie. Katie’s lied about me,” he reasoned. “I think she went on the show, she was like, ‘I’m the perfect housewife. I have all this tea. I’m gonna do research. Attack them.’ And it’s like, I get it, a lot of people like her, and I don’t fault them, but she’s kind of lying. She’s saying, ‘I don’t know these bloggers’ … Why would these people lie? They’re not getting money.”
Amir then recalled shocking claims Katie made against Gina.
“She said that Gina said she smelled like kimchi, and that she said it on Watch What Happens Live, but they edited it out. And then she made me edit it when I made an episode, when I talked about it. Girl, I don’t owe you anything. So I’m gonna say it,” he stated. “Maybe Gina said that. I don’t know … It’s all allegedly, but this is all coming from Katie.”
Also on the podcast, Amir told Katie, “If you’re gonna lie, be a good liar.”
