Teresa Giudice recently revealed she’s open to a potential reconciliation with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa Gorga. But according to a new report, she could be considering the idea for selfish reasons.

After the 53-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star appeared on Jeff Lewis‘ radio show, where she said, “never say never,” in regard to making amends with Joe, 50, and Melissa, 46, an insider claims she’s simply getting “desperate” amid fears of being left out of season 15.

“Teresa is getting desperate and, obviously, worried given the developments that have happened surrounding RHONJ,” a source told OK! Magazine on September 15. “This is absolutely someone who despises her brother and Melissa, but, realizing she might not have a job, she is considering throwing in the towel and making amends with them.”

According to the source, Teresa reconciling with Joe and Melissa is “not truly believable.” After all, it’s something she’s said she’d “never” do for years.

“But, money talks, as does the risk of losing her prominent status on the show and her fame from it. So, she’s making it known she more or less will do anything she needs to do to remain on the show,” the insider added.

As RHONJ fans may have seen, recent rumors have suggested that the upcoming season will be focused on Melissa, Margaret Josephs, 58, and Dolores Catania, 54, and mentioned that test filming has already begun.

“What will ultimately happen remains to be seen, but for anyone doubting the rumors the show is being built around Melissa, Margaret Josephs and Dolores Catania need only consider Teresa’s sudden willingness to change her stance on two out of three of them,” the source concluded. “If she truly was guaranteed to be brought back and was the intended star of the show, she wouldn’t need to be groveling to people she clearly hates.”

Last week, as she appeared on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live with her oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, 24, Teresa was confronted about making amends with Joe and Melissa.

“[Viewers] would want to see that,” Gia noted.

Then, after she added that fans would also like to “see some sort of resolution,” since their family feud has been going on for so long, Teresa replied, “Never say never,” as she said the three of them would have to not “talk about the past” and “move forward.”

“We’ll see what happens,” she added.
