Melissa Gorga, Emily Simpson, Wendy Osefo, and Angie Katsanevas are packing up and heading to new homes in the just-released trailer for Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition.
Four months after Bravo announced four new shows coming to its lineup, including The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, Ladies of London, and a Persian-style spinoff of The Valley, featuring former cast members of Shahs of Sunset, the Real Housewives stars and their husbands, including Joe Gorga, Shane Simpson, Eddie Osefo, and Shawn Trujillo, are swapping lives with ordinary families for the new series.
“You hate sleeping without me,” Joe tells Melissa in the sneak peek.
“I do,” she admits as he presents her with a pillow with his face on it.
According to the 46-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey star, she and Joe are the “last couple on earth that would swap.” But after Joe’s new wife arrives, he seems to be having a ball.
“There’s a woman sleeping in my house right now,” Melissa shares after arriving at her new husband’s home.
Although getting acclimated proves challenging, a little boy is seen crying as Melissa leaves after the swap.
“Don’t cry,” she begs.
Then, after coming face to face with Joe’s new wife, who tells Melissa she feels like she’s “in quicksand,” Joe jokes about being “vegan for 48 hours.”
“You know how long I’ve been waiting to give you the meat?” he asks.
Elsewhere, Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily, 49, arrives in New Jersey after saying she agreed to do the show “because I want to see Shane so uncomfortable.”
As Emily gets to know the ropes of her new family and tells a group of kids that their dad needs to care for the animals, Shane’s new wife admits to feeling “overwhelmed.”
“Hey, hey, I’m trying to talk,” Shane interjects.
Also on the East Coast, Real Housewives of Potomac‘s Wendy, 41, informs her kids that they are “gonna have a new mommy.” Right away, Eddie informs the woman that she needs to be awake “no later than 5:30 a.m.”
The new wife is not impressed by Eddie’s list of rules and tears up a piece of paper he gave her.
She also seems to butt heads with Wendy once she returns.
“Thank you for ruining my carpet,” Wendy tells her as a large red stain is seen.
As for Angie, 51, of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, she travels to Idaho for her swap.
“I’m definitely overdressed and underprepared,” she says as she arrives at the home, where a little girl demands she “change the toilet.”
While things back home don’t seem to be going well, with Angie’s daughter Elektra saying her new mom is “not [her] thing,” Angie ends up bonding with the little girl and her dad.
“I don’t want you to leave,” the girl tells her after the swap.
“We’re so different but so similar,” a man cries.
Then, when Angie returns to meet Shawn’s new wife, she tells her she learned a life lesson in Idaho.
“The most spiritual, most beautiful life lesson, and I had to go so far away to see it,” she reveals.
“I know,” the wife replies.
Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition premieres on Bravo on October 14.
