Adriana De Moura is speaking out about the comments she’s made in regard to the finances of Alexia Nepola‘s ex-husband, Todd Nepola.
Following Alexia’s appearance on last Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, where she reacted to the negative things Marysol Patton, 58, had said about Todd, 52, on The Real Housewives of Miami, Adriana, 59, responded to being incorrectly named as the person who had “bashed” Todd.
“That is simply untrue,” Adriana said in a video shared on Instagram on September 16.
Although Adriana went on to admit that she had said negative things in a past season of RHOM, she made it clear that she did not trash-talk Todd amid season seven and was sorry for her prior claims.
“I have refrained from speaking ill of Todd this season because I realize relationships are very complex … and it’s usually best to leave a couple figure out their own problems … without outside influence,” she told her fans and followers.
Adriana added, “But what I just brought up was a past issue, and I do owe Todd an apology for repeating comments that were made about his alleged financial situation at the time. That was misinterpreted. And it was a mistake. For that, I’m truly sorry, and I sincerely apologize to Todd for any hurt or frustration that my repeating of the comment has caused.”
In our past story about Alexia’s WWHL appearance, we initially shared that it was Adriana’s comments about Todd that Alexia responded to. However, we’ve since corrected the story, noting that it was statements made by Marysol that Alexia was addressing.
“I know that she’s my friend and she had the best intentions, but it did hurt me because no matter what, I love Todd … [and] she did like Todd at one point,” Alexia had said about Marysol. “So it’s hard when you’re fighting the person that you love on TV and your friends are saying things like that.”
The Real Housewives of Miami season seven airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
