Carole Radziwill took questions from her fans and followers on X over the weekend. And during her chat with her online audience, she addressed her connection to Ghislaine Maxwell, who was convicted of sex trafficking and other charges in 2021.
Years after Leah McSweeney, 43, slammed the 62-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum over her relationship with Ghislaine, 63, whom she labeled her “s-x child trafficking bestie,” Carole explained their relationship.
“Will she touch on how Ghislaine Maxwell came to be the photographer for her book?” a fan asked of Carole on September 12.
“I knew her socially she had a real camera (it was 2004 no one carried cameras) anyway I’d had a pro photo shoot but the pics were bad. I asked her if she’d take the picture & she said sure. In hindsight was it odd she had a camera? I guess but who knew?!” Carole replied, encouraging her fans and followers to subscribe to her Substack.
Another person wondered how no one in Carole’s circle knew about the criminal activity of Ghislaine, who is currently serving time at the same facility as former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah, 51.
“How could none of the rich ppl in her circle not know? The rich ppl in her circles were the ones paying for the services,” the X user alleged.
“Sure rich men, creepy people… obvs the men who were involved knew…I’m saying the social party friends especially us girls — we didn’t know. When people are doing bad sh*t they hide it well. It’s f*cking creepy,” Carole explained.
A third person asked Carole, point-blank, “Did you know she ran a ped*phile ring for rich people? You know A LOT of rich people.”
In her response, Carole described her wealthy friends as “kind and decent” as she expressed hope for the files about Ghislaine and her sex offender pal, Jeffrey Epstein, including a potential client list and interview transcripts, to be released.
“The rich people I know are kind and decent,” Carole wrote. “But apparently no one knew anything about her except I guess for the FBI. They should release their report. It’s awful. It’s so dark, no? Better left to authorities.”
Carole Radziwill was featured in a full-time role on The Real Housewives of New York City from season five through season 10.
