The Real Housewives of Potomac has reportedly gone back into production on the heels of Wendy and Eddie Osefo‘s fraud arrests.
After Wendy, 41, and Eddie, 41, were indicted on multiple charges of fraud after allegedly staging a fake burglary in April 2024, claiming to have been robbed of $450,000 worth of items, including designer bags and jewelry, insiders have suggested that the cast will film their reactions to the shocking news.
“According to my sources, the cameras are being picked back up tomorrow! No confirmation whether Wendy will be involved. But the other ladies including Gizelle will be filming,” Kempire reported on X on October 10.
Also on the heels of Wendy and Eddie’s arrest, Variety revealed that Bravo pushed the premiere of Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition, which was supposed to feature the RHOP couple, from October 14 to October 21. Now, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Katsanevas, 51, and her husband, Shawn Trujillo, will be seen on the premiere episode.
Following her arrest, Wendy’s spokesperson released a statement to Variety.
“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead,” it read.
According to the outlet, Wendy was indicted on the following: “seven counts of insurance fraud, eight counts of conspiracy insurance fraud, and one count of false statement to a police officer.” Meanwhile, Eddie was indicted on 18 charges, with an additional count of insurance fraud and conspiracy to commit insurance fraud.
As they face time behind bars, with most of the charges against them carrying a maximum of 15 years, Wendy and Eddie are expected to appear in court on November 7.
