Wendy Osefo received an apology from Ashley Darby at BravoCon for the things she said about her October arrest — but she wouldn’t accept it.
As the 41-year-old Real Housewives of Potomac cast member answered questions about the moments that followed her and her husband Eddie Osefo‘s arrests, Wendy admitted that several members of the show had been supportive as she refused to engage with Ashley, 37, and her regrettable behavior.
“I’m wondering how the dynamic has been between you and Ashley since her comments that she made at her show about your allegations,” the fan said on November 14.
“We will save it for the reunion,” Wendy replied after a laugh.
As RHOP fans may have seen, Ashley poked fun at Wendy’s arrest at one of her performances in Washington, D.C., just days after it occurred, joking that she was “making melodies, not catching felonies.”
“In case there was some confusion, that’s what we’re doing around here. That’s it. That’s all we’re doing. Just making melodies,” she declared.
Weeks later, as she sat several seats down from Wendy at the fan convention in Las Vegas, Ashley admitted to feeling guilty about the dig.
“I can admit that I was maybe a little hot in the pants with what I said about Wendy, and when I thought about it later, it wasn’t the time or the place. And honestly, I said it lightheartedly, but I realize that this is in no way a lighthearted situation for Wendy. So I do want to say that I’m sorry for how hot I came for Wendy. And I mean it.”
But Wendy wasn’t buying it. In fact, she and Stacey Rusch, 53, seemingly called Ashley out for making her statement to the audience, rather than looking at Wendy.
“I tried to talk to you backstage. You didn’t want to talk to me, so I receive that and I’m simply saying what I need to say, and I mean it. And you can either take it or not,” Ashley explained.
“And I will not. Thank you,” Wendy replied to an applause from some in the audience.
At another moment, Wendy was asked which of her RHOP co-stars had been the most supportive amid her legal drama.
“I would just like to thank my cast members for being there for me during this time. I think it’s a tie between Stacey and [Monique Samuels], who reached out first … I just am so grateful for them. [Tia Glover] has reached out multiple times. When everything happened, [Gizelle Bryant] reached out as well,” she revealed.
“I am just so grateful for the support I’ve gotten from my cast members, as well as our production team, as well as Bravo. I am overwhelmed by the love, so thank you so much,” she added.
The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
