Kelly Dodd reshared a message posted by a Bravo fan page in which her leaked voicemail to her daughter, Jolie Dodd, was defended on Sunday.
As the 50-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum’s husband, Rick Leventhal, 65, revealed that leaking a voicemail is illegal in the state of California, Kelly posted the message from the fan page, who slammed Jolie’s father, Michael Dodd, as a “deadbeat” dad and labeled the 19-year-old as an “entitled brat.”
“Keep in mind, this is her adult daughter giving the green light to [publicize] their private issues. Kelly might have went off on her daughter in an emotionally charged voicemail for having taken advantage of the high quality of life Kelly had afforded her, and then Jolie discarding her, but she certainly has never gone through with anything she was ‘threatening’ to release. Jolie did though,” Bravowood wrote on its Instagram Story on November 30.
The fan page also revealed that Jolie allegedly sent a message to them, “enraged and cussing up a storm” and threatening to “release a lot more.”
“Does that sound like an innocent, pure, respectful daughter?” they asked.
“I think Kelly’s voicemail was more of an empty threat in frustration for all the excessive time, money, effort, energy she’s put into Jolie, even as an adult, just for Jolie to block her then turn around and believe everything her deadbeat dad is saying, that’s called PARENTAL ALIENATION, OF COURSE SOLE CUSTODIAL MOM IS GONNA PANIC!!!” the page continued. “So now parents of disrespectful, self serving adult children must be non-reactive saints? Be realistic and have some common sense. Jolie gladly thrived with her mom’s social status, money, resources until it didn’t benefit her anymore.”
According to Bravowood, Jolie released the voicemail from her mom out of retaliation.
“In true entitled brat fashion who isn’t getting what she wants is now releasing private communications between herself and her mother, after cutting her off, for what? It wasn’t enough being an only child doted on, want for nothing, the center of attention for 18+ years, on top of living a millionaire lifestyle on the beach in Orange County?” they asked. “That doesn’t sound like a very respectful and grateful daughter to me.”
The fan page went on to note that Kelly had tried to keep her issues with Jolie private.
“Her daughter did all of this!! And it’s no one’s place to judge her conflict with her one and only daughter that she has coddled and let her whole world revolve around. The Bravo pages with some clout claiming she doesn’t love her daughter or abuses her are f*cking disgusting and says more about them monetizing on her pain than Kelly being upset by her daughter betraying her at another level,” they added.

Meanwhile, on Rick’s page, he shared a snippet about the legality at play.
“In California, it is illegal for the recipient of a private voicemail to share it on social media without the sender’s consent, as California is an ‘all-party consent’ state for confidential communications. The person who shared the voicemail could face criminal penalties, including fines and jail time, and a civil lawsuit,” his message declared.

Kelly Dodd appeared on The Real Housewives of Orange County from season 11 through season 15.
