Meghan King posted a message about her tough year on Instagram on Tuesday.
Weeks after losing custody of her three kids, including daughter Aspen, 9, and twins Hart and Hayes, 7, to her ex-husband, Jim Edmonds, 55, who she was married to from 2014 to 2019, the 41-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County alum shared a cryptic message about “super-rare” occurrences.
“It was a tough year, but at least I did not buy a Labubu,” the message read.
She then added a caption of her own, which said, “Butttttt a bunch of ‘super-rare’ stuff happened. [Just saying].”

As RHOC fans may have heard, Meghan was stripped of custody after allegedly giving Ritalin to her son Hayes, despite the Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) medication being unprescribed, and asking a school nurse to do the same.
Following an investigation by Child Protective Services (CPS), it was reported that the children would be moving from Missouri to Tennessee to live full-time with Jim and his wife, Kortnie O’Connor, whom he married in September 2022. Meanwhile, Meghan would get them for a “few weeks” each summer.
After the loss of custody, Meghan’s former co-star, Tamra Judge, 58, addressed the topic on her podcast, Two Ts in a Pod, confirming that Meghan was understandably devastated.
“I did text with her. She did not want to talk,” Tamra shared. “She is so devastated. Her family is devastated. To have your children taken away from you by a third party, I couldn’t even imagine.”
“I’ve always known her as a good mom and a good person, and she’s got an amazing family,” she added. “And I always look at the mom and dad [who] have been married forever. She’s close with her brothers and her sister, and her dad’s an attorney.”
Meghan was featured on The Real Housewives of Orange County in a full-time role from season 10 through season 12.
