Amanda Batula fueled rumors of a potentially impending divorce from her husband Kyle Cooke over the weekend as she attended an NHL game without her spouse, and her wedding ring, seemingly nowhere in sight.
After Kyle, 43, appeared to celebrate Christmas without Amanda, 34, the Summer House star was featured in a series of social media posts, including a video in which the ring finger of her left hand seemed to be missing a very important piece of jewelry.
In the video, which was originally shared by one of Amanda’s pals, she was seen cheering on the New York Islanders from the stands.
“Taken us 3 periods and OT to convince [Amanda Batula] this isn’t a heated rivalry reenactment,” her friend joked in a caption of the clip, which saw Amanda smiling in a fur coat, jeans, glasses, and several rings.
“Noticed in Amanda’s most recent ig story she has no rings on a very important finger! And it seems like she’s been wearing them less and less. What are your thoughts???” a Reddit user asked, along with a screenshot of the video, on January 4.
In the photo, Amanda sported a few rings on what appeared to be her right hand and even more on her left.
After the screenshot was shared, social media users weighed in, some of whom suspected Amanda was “hamming it up for the new season while simultaneously driving interest in the [Summer House] spinoff,” In the City, while others applauded Amanda for possibly leaving Kyle.
“Storyline antics like it always is just before the new season premieres!” one person declared.
Another noted, “These rumors have been going on all year. Their new show isn’t set to air until after Summer House so [probably] June or July. Do we really think they’re self-producing a story line a year+ in advance? Come on. Thinking these two are fighting is more believable than thinking they’re not.”
Someone else said that if Amanda and Kyle had called it quits, Bravo may have encouraged them to keep the breakup under wraps until season 10 premieres.
“Good for her. That frat boy man child will never grow up,” another Reddit user wrote.
“No one deserves a husband that doesn’t come home at night,” another agreed, signaling Kyle’s DJ career.
While Amanda and Kyle have faced breakup rumors for years, the latest round of split reports began swirling in November of last year, when an insider told Page Six they were living separately and going through a “challenging time.”
A short time later, as she attended BravoCon, Amanda spoke to Danny Pellegrino at a panel event, where she admitted that she and Kyle “are always going through a difficult time.”
“It’s nothing new. I keep saying, ‘The news must’ve been slow that day cuz I didn’t realize that me and Kyle arguing was newsworthy,” she stated.
She also explained why she often doesn’t wear her wedding ring.
“When I wash my face, I don’t want to scratch it up with these hard diamonds, and then I have ADD, so I forget to put it back on, and then I don’t wear any jewelry,” she shared.
