Monique Samuels revealed the “signals” and “red flag” she saw in Angel and Bobby Massie‘s marriage after Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac.

After comparing the relationship between Angel and Bobby, 36, to her past marriage to Chris Samuels, 48, Monique, 42, explained why she did so as Angel slammed Monique and their co-stars for being disrespectful in Colorado and insisted the relationship she has with Bobby is “healthy.”

“When I first met her, I could see a lot of me in her situation. And I didn’t wanna just say, like, ‘Oh, just because my situation was how it was, that’s what you’re going through. I was more-so like, ‘Hey, if she is going through what I went through, let me be that person that I wish I had,'” Monique shared on the January 11 episode of the RHOP: After Show. “She was giving me signals that ‘I’m a woman that is doing a lot. I’m doing too much, and I’m tired.’ That’s what I was picking up from her.”

According to Monique, she was particularly put off by the idea that Bobby was “[watching] the kids.”

“When she said, ‘I have to see if he could watch the kids,’ it was those words in particular that were such a red flag for me because they’re your children. You don’t watch them,” she stated. “It would’ve been different if it was just like, ‘Y’all, let me talk to my husband, and I’ll let y’all know.'”

Because Angel was a host, Monique felt it was odd that she didn’t make arrangements with Bobby for their kids before the cast arrived in Colorado.

“Typically, when we plan these girls’ trips, we make sure that we’re off the clock … and also this is a person who also hosts wandering people, for lack of better words, so it was just weird to me because it was like, he knows you’re here hosting, so why wasn’t that arrangement already made?” she wondered.

Due to what she’d been through in her past marriage, Monique said she felt obligated to say something about Angel’s relationship.

“I would not be the person that I say I am in this moment, after going through everything I’ve gone through, if I see a person that’s giving me those signals, and I don’t say anything. So, I just felt it was like, I need to say something. Whether she receives it or not, I need to say something, just to make sure she’s good,” she reasoned.

While Tia Glover defended Angel’s marriage, saying that from “what [she’d] seen with Bobby and Angel,” they don’t have the same dynamic as Monique and Chris, noting that Bobby was “very hands-on with the children” and “attentive to Angel’s needs,” Gizelle Bryant, 55, insisted the two marriages were “the same,” and Ashley Darby, 37, agreed.

“[Angel] has this very weird relationship where she’s always like, would be like, ‘I have to see what Bobby thinks and what is Bobby gonna say and how does Bobby feel.’ That was just a reiteration of that same dynamic between them, and it just kept rearing its head. What really is the balance between you guys? What kind of partnership do you really have?” she asked.

Meanwhile, in her own RHOP: After Show segment, Angel recalled her castmates’ behavior.

“They made it an issue that I said that I needed to talk to my husband about changing our schedule, which is what you do in a marriage … It was very disrespectful to me. It was disrespectful to my husband. It was disrespectful to my family because here I invite you in my home and I allow you to see a little more than I normally do, and instead of taking that as a gift, you use it to try and cast aspersions on my relationship,” she shared. “And the crazy thing is, I have the most kind, supportive, magnificent husband possible. I respect him enough to say, ‘Hey, baby, I’m going to spend the night with the ladies, and I’m not gonna be home tomorrow night.'”

“That is called a healthy marriage,” she declared.

“Bobby didn’t have an issue with any of it … He was totally open to whatever [Angel] wanted to do, so it was really just an example of you respecting your husband,” added Keiarna Stewart.

The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
