Gizelle Bryant and her castmates gushed over Mauricio Umansky after Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac featured a crossover moment with the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star.
As Ashley Darby, 37, insisted that Kyle Richards‘ estranged husband wasn’t on her radar and accused Gizelle, 55, of trying to make her look bad, Angel Massie suggested Gizelle was “hater blocking” as Tia Glover confirmed Stacey Rusch‘s interest in Mauricio, 55, and Stacey declared that no one actually wants to date Ashley.
“If Mauricio wasn’t connected to Kyle, I would’ve already had sex with Mauricio … I would have definitely pounced on him … He gets the panties, for sure,” Gizelle declared on the January 18 episode of the RHOP: After Show. “I’m a girls’ girl. Like, me and Kyle aren’t friends like that at all, but I don’t think any ex-husband or husband from the Housewives, I think they’re all off limits.”
Although Jassi Rideaux agreed that none of the women should’ve pursued him due to his past, Tia noted that Mauricio was a “very handsome man” and that “any single person in [their] group should have sex with Mauricio.”
“That is one beautiful man,” Tia declared.
“He is beautiful. And he’s a good time,” added Gizelle.
Meanwhile, Ashley denied having an interest in the RHOBH hubby.
“I didn’t have Maurico on my radar at all,” she stated.
But many of her castmates disagreed, with Gizelle claiming she was “lying,” Jassi noting that Mauricio was “everybody’s type,” and Tia stating that “his type is universal.”
“Mauricio is obviously her type. I could actually see the connection,” added Angel.
Still, according to Ashley, it was Stacey pushing things forward.
“Stacey was like, ‘He’s single. Go talk to him.’ And I said, ‘No, he’s here to see Gizelle.’ And she’s like ‘So what?’ And I’m like, ‘I think my friend likes him.’ Stacey grabbed my hand, took me over to the stairs, and she was like, ‘You’re gonna wait right here, and we’re gonna see if he wants to come out with us tonight.’ I was like, ‘Stacey, I don’t hang out with Mauricio,’” she revealed.
“Stacey was trying to make this a thing,” Ashley continued. “She was like, ‘We’re gonna get you a man.’”
According to Gizelle, it was Stacey who was interested in Mauricio, despite her reconciliation with ex-husband Thiemo Rusch.
“Stacey really wanted Maurico,” she alleged.
“She did,” Tia confirmed. “I’m being a snitch now, but Stacey doesn’t talk to me, but I’ll tell you what, when we all went to the toilet, she was like, ‘Oh my god, I read.’ And I was like, to be fair, but the fact that Stacey would actually talk to me tells me she was serious about that.”
In her own RHOP: After Show segment, Stacey admitted Mauricio was “cute” as she threw shade at Ashley.
“Don’t nobody want to date Ashley for real … He seems like a family man. Ashley is like a fun time girl,” she stated.
“With Ashley, I don’t even think Ashley knows what Ashley wants. She’s all over the place,” Wendy Osefo, 41, replied.
During Sunday’s RHOP, Gizelle shut down any potential connection Ashley would have had with Mauricio, and Ashley didn’t like the condescending way she went about it.
“She should’ve just chilled out. Why try to make me look bad in front of somebody that we know, that’s in the same circles as us?” she asked. “That’s not necessary. Whatever is happening inside of our house, you don’t need to take it outside to the streets.”
Reacting to potential jealousy, Gizelle insisted that she simply wanted to avoid a showdown between the casts.
“Those girls on [RHOBH] would be pissed. Because they’re gonna take Kyle’s side. I don’t want [Erika Jayne] on my phone. I don’t want [Dorit Kemsley] on my phone. None of them,” she stated.
“[But] I feel like you kind of like barricaded Maricio and shoo-ed him off so that nobody could dig their teeth into him,” Tia replied.
“I 100 percent did,” Gizelle agreed.
Elsewhere, Angel called out Gizelle for getting in the way of the potential love connection.
“It was a little bit of hater blocking. I can’t lie to you, cuz she could’ve had a good old time. We could’ve taken the PJ back. She could’ve spent the night in Aspen … [But] she had a hater,” she declared.
