Dorinda Medley appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday, where she revealed she once dumped spaghetti on her late husband Richard Medley‘s head while playing a game with her Traitors castmates, including Maura Higgins, 35, Colton Underwood, 34, “Boston” Rob Mariano, 50, and Dylan Efron, 33.
After the group was given a statement that read, “I once poured a plate of spaghetti on my partner’s head,” and asked to guess which of them had done it, the 61-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum admitted it was her before explaining what led up ot the incident.
“Richard had come home, and I’d worked very hard on a spaghetti dish, and he started making fun of it, and I literally, we had people over, which was very bad, and I said, ‘That’s fine.’ So I brought it up, and he kept going and going, so finally, when I went to serve it to him, I just put it right over his head,” Dorinda shared, via a clip shared on Facebook on January 29.
As RHONY fans may know, Richard passed away at 60 years old in November 2011, just four years after he and Dorinda wed. In the years since, she has continued to keep his memory alive with regular tributes, including a post on what would have been his 70th birthday in October 2021.
“He has been gone from us for 10 years and there is rarely a day that passes that I don’t think of him,” she wrote at the time. “Grief and loss start off so overwhelming and then as time passes, it’s not that you ‘get over it’ as people say, you just grow bigger around it … It’s always there, waiting to remind you.”
“I miss waking up to you, knowing I have this beautiful partner by my side, I miss having breakfast together, our long walks and talking through life. I miss our family dynamic and all the joy and laughter we experienced,” she continued. “I miss my best friend … I just miss you.”
