Wendy Osefo believes Stacey Rusch named her cannabis company with a Nigerian word in an effort to get back at her and Eddie Osefo for calling her former boyfriend, Thomas Anthony “TJ” Jones, at the Real Housewives of Potomac season nine reunion.
After TJ suggested that he wasn’t really Stacey’s partner, but had allegedly been paid to appear alongside her on last year’s show, amid a FaceTime call with Eddie, 42, a sneak peek at the season 10 reunion features Wendy, 41, accusing Stacey of choosing the name SHAYO, which means “to be happy” in Nigerian, for revenge.
“Stacey knew what she was doing,” Wendy states in the preview clip.
“Honoring my Nigerian heritage?” Stacey replies.
Then, after Tia Glover states that “the Nigerians want the name back,” Wendy gives a nod to TJ’s claims against Stacey.
“I think that that was the way for Stacey to get back at Eddie and I for doing the TJ thing,” she explains.
“That’s an interesting thought. Interesting,” Stacey responds.
But Gizelle Bryant, 55, doesn’t seem to think Stacey would be so clever.
“You think she’s that deep?” Gizelle asks.
“I think she’s that smart. I do,” Wendy confirms.
Also in the sneak peek, Andy Cohen, 57, brings up the fact that Stacey denied having a cannabis line during the season nine reunion before launching her brand shortly thereafter.
“I can admit that I held many meetings about many business endeavors, and it wasn’t a done deal,” Stacey clarifies.
“So why wouldn’t you just say that?” Gizelle wonders.
“Because I don’t owe you that, Gizelle,” Stacey fires back.
According to Gizelle, she shared at the previous reunion that Stacey was “coming in competition” with Happy Eddie, Eddie’s cannabis line, only to have Stacey deny it.
“I told you truth. I did not have a cannabis line — absolutely not — when you asked me,” Stacey claims.
“And then as soon as we first started the season, you’re like, ‘Oh, I’m starting a cannabis line.’ It’s just like, why wouldn’t you just say, ‘I’m in meetings,’ or ‘Maybe,’ or ‘I’m thinking about it?’” Gizelle continues.
“Because I absolutely did not have a cannabis line when you asked me,” Stacey says, again.
“Okay, Stacey. Okay,” Gizelle concludes.
The Real Housewives of Potomac season 10 reunion begins this Sunday, February 15, at 8/7c on Bravo.
