Amanda Batula reacted to recent rumors linking her to her Summer House co-stars on Jason Tartick‘s podcast on Monday.
Amid claims of potential romances with her castmates, including Jesse Solomon, 32, and West Wilson, 31, the 34-year-old Bravo star and swimsuit designer spoke to Jason, 37, about whether she’d pursue one of her co-stars as she also denied that she’ll go after Kyle Cooke‘s Loverboy brand if they divorce, explained why she denied their impending split at BravoCon, and addressed how Ciara Miller, 30, stepped up for her after Paige DeSorbo‘s exit from the show.
“There’s also mixed opinions on whether or not me and Jesse should get together, which it’s not gonna happen. I’m not touching any of my cast members. Love them dearly, but I’m good,” Amanda confirmed on the March 9 episode of Trading Secrets, via Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram.
As rumors continue to swirl, Amanda said she’s doing her best to avoid feeding into the speculation. That said, she did take note of some false claims about Loverboy.
“I think at one point, I joked about how, if we ever got a divorce, I’m taking half. That’s his baby. I’m not gonna steal something that he’s put his heart and soul into and worked so hard on. So I’m not taking half of the business,” she clarified.
Regarding the split buzz surrounding the two of them at BravoCon, Amanda said she denied that there was trouble in paradise in an effort to protect her and Kyle’s peace.
“It’s hard to talk about something that you don’t have the answers to. It’s still hard to talk about it because it’s still, even my family asked me questions and friends and it’s like, we don’t have all the answers,” she explained. “Especially then, [we] had no idea what was going on. And it was really hurtful that someone that was like, a close source, the couple, leaked information that was based of partial fact, but like was also inaccurate.”
After wondering who was close to them who was sharing information, Amanda said that despite rumors, she and Kyle were never divorcing.
“That was never the case. And this is the one that came out right before BravoCon,” she recalled. “I don’t even remember what the article said, that we were like going through a hard time or whatever it was. But yeah, it’s just, it’s like hurtful that these days, people feel like it’s a prize to be the first one to like leak something … That’s rude.”
According to Amanda, she always planned to deny their split at first.
“I was like, you’ll find out when I’m ready to tell you. Even when there was like, a leak about me moving out, and I posted like, a silly Instagram Story about it. And I technically confirmed it, but I joked that I moved into a cardboard box. So I didn’t deny it. But I played into it a little bit because I was like, ‘We’re not ready to talk about this,’” she explained.
As for Paige’s absence, Amanda admitted she missed her “the whole summer.”
“It would have been nice to have her there … every day,” she shared. “We were going out and doing things. But there was plenty of times where, you know, hard times this summer that, you know, Paige’s words of advice and just comforting would have been amazing.”
That said, Amanda applauded Ciara for stepping up, saying she “really, really pulled through for me this summer.”
Summer House season 10 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
