New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani weighed in on the latest Summer House drama while out in New York City this week.
Days after Amanda Batula, 34, and West Wilson, 31, shocked fans and their friends with a joint statement, confirming they had feelings for one another, despite her close-knit friendship with Ciara Miller, 30, and his alleged rekindling with their castmate, the 34-year-old politician admitted that betrayal was “rough” as he offered a message of thanks to Ciara.
“I gotta be honest … I’m not quite up on it,” Mayor Mamdani began during a conversation with Adam Glyn that was shared on his TikTok page on April 6.
Then, when Adam questioned the mayor about the advice he’d give to Ciara amid the betrayal, he said, “That’s rough.”
“I guess the first thing I would say to her is thank you for saving people’s lives. She was a nurse, I think. We appreciate that. We appreciate her in New York City,” Mayor Mamdani stated.
Also during the interview, which took place on the streets of the Big Apple, the major said he didn’t know who Amanda’s estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, 43, was.

Following the confirmation of Amanda and West’s romance, which was rumored for weeks before they went public, a source told Us Weekly that Ciara was “heartbroken” by the news.
“She and Amanda were very close, and she feels more betrayed than ever by both of them,” the insider explained, noting that Ciara and West were “casually seeing each other and seeing if things would work out again recently.”
“Ciara cut off both Amanda and West after finding out,” a second source added. “She’s furious at West but even more hurt by Amanda. ‘Disappointed’ doesn’t even cover it. This is so much more to Ciara than just breaking girl code.”
Summer House season 10 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
