Scheana Shay addressed rumors of a separation from husband Brock Davies on her podcast on Friday after being accused of removing “wife” from her Instagram bio.
As she also explained why she’s “triggered” by Easter, admitted that she doesn’t fully trust Brock after his affair, and shared if she experienced Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) amid The Valley season three, the 40-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum revealed how she messed up a scene of the spinoff, reacted to Lala Kent‘s sperm donor drama, and more.
“I’ve never had ‘wife’ on my profile. If he took husband off his, then we’re gonna have to have another conversation. But I never had anything other than Summer’s Mommy and Links to my book, podcast, or whatever it is I’m working on at the time,” Scheana shared on the April 10 episode of Schenanigans, via a recap from Vanderpod Recaps on Instagram. “We are not separated. We are very much together and we’re doing really good, actually.”
That said, Scheana admitted to feeling “triggered” around Eastertime.
“Easter is a bit of a triggering day for me because that was the night that he sat me down three years ago and told me about the affair,” she revealed, noting that she and Brock are “the best [they’ve] been since before [she] found that out.”
“It took a lot of rebuilding. A lot of trust was broken. I don’t know that we’ll ever get it back 100%. I think I’m happy if we could just stay at 99. But we’ve been doing really good,” she went on.
Although Scheana is “friends with almost everyone on The Valley,” she chose to sit out for season three and didn’t attend Kristen Doute, 43, and Nia Booko‘s recent Sip and See event, despite being invited.
“I’m okay that I wasn’t there,” she stated, explaining that she didn’t go to the filmed event because she wasn’t in contract. “I know that I made the right choice for me in not doing it … [And] I didn’t have the FOMO that I feared I might have.”
While Scheana didn’t film for season three at all, she found herself in the way of production after venturing to a coffee shop next to her daughter’s improv class, where Zack Wickham and Danny Booko, 42, were filming.
“I totally f*cked up their exit when they’re doing their walkout, and I was like, ‘I’m so sorry,’” she recalled.
As for whether she’d be on board with season four, Scheana said, “I don’t know what the next season of my life looks like. If there’s another season and I hope there is because I want this for my friends … I don’t know if it’s for me,” she explained.
Regarding the idea that Luke Broderick, Kristen’s fiancé, could’ve been Lala’s sperm donor, a topic recently featured on The Valley, Scheana didn’t see how.
“I don’t think Luke matched all of that criteria … But I do know that Lala saw baby photos of the dad and also heard his voice .. I think she would know if that was Luke’s voice,” she reasoned.
Scheana also addressed her relationship with Katie Maloney, 40.
“We’ve had some little conversations here and there. I think the thing about Katie, and I know I’ve said this on the podcast before, I was so insecure in my own ways that I wasn’t able to see what an amazing friend I had right in front of me, what a girl’s girl, ride or die, solid f*cking human. And I regret that,” she admitted.
“If one day we come back together, I would love that,” she added.
