Jesse Solomon said he “never” saw the West Wilson and Amanda Batula romance “coming” despite multiple reports claiming he told people long before the news broke. The Summer House star also shared how he’s feeling about the upcoming reunion and if he’s still in contact with Ciara Miller.
Before Amanda and West confirmed their controversial romance, sources alleged that his close pal Jesse was telling fans that the rumors were true. Many viewers are outraged by the new couple because Amanda was a good friend of West’s ex, Ciara.
Earlier this month, The Valley star Zack Wickham claimed Jesse was telling people about the romance before West and Amanda confirmed it publicly.
“One of our friends’ cousins was on a vacation and met Jesse Solomon, and he just told her everything, and then she told me. So, I’m like, if what he told her is real, then brace yourselves, America,” Zack recalled on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live. “Sorry, Jesse, didn’t mean to throw you under the bus.”
Speaking to ABC News Live, Jesse addressed the Amanda/West controversy.
“I never could have seen it coming,” said Jesse. “And I really just want all my friends to find peace and happiness, and I’m excited to film this reunion, and I’m hoping there will be some resolution at the end of it.”
Jesse was then asked if he and Ciara keep in touch.
“We keep in touch, but I’ll let her speak for herself,” said the star, who suggested that the cast will address everything at the reunion. “The reunion is when we just talk about what happened all summer long. And you see all these conversations that you weren’t privy to over the summer. And Andy just asks us the tea, and we spill.”
Back in March, Amanda and West shared a joint statement concerning their status.
“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything. Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it,” they said at the time on Instagram. “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care.”
“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they went on. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
New episodes of Summer House air Tuesday nights on Bravo.
