Kathy Wakile addressed an online rumor claiming that she and her husband, Richard “Richie” Wakile, had split on her Instagram Story on Monday.
After supposed sources suggested that the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple had called it quits on their marriage after 34 years due to both financial strife and Kathy’s career, Kathy, 60, responded to a fan who asked, “Are you and Rich still together?”
“YES … Of Course … *Don’t Believe Everything You Read,*” she replied.
Earlier this month, a Bravo fan page on Facebook suggested that RHONJ viewers had been left “stunned” as Kathy and Richie ended their 34-year marriage.
“Kathy Wakile and her husband Rich have officially filed for divorce after 34 years together. Sources say tensions had quietly built for years, fueled by financial clashes and Kathy’s career focus. Once seen as one of the franchise’s strongest couples, their unexpected split has left fans in shock,” the page alleged.
Before the false report about her and Richie’s alleged split, Kathy confirmed on her Instagram page that she had undergone a number of plastic surgery procedures.
“I had a neck and lower facelift, along with a brow lift and lower blepharoplasty. As I mentioned before, this isn’t about changing the face I’ve known and loved for 60 years. It’s simply about restoring and refreshing what time has naturally changed,” she explained.
“I’ve chosen to share this journey openly because I know so many people are curious about the process and may be considering something similar themselves. I’ll continue to keep you updated along the way,” she continued, thanking “[her] surgeon, [Dr. T.Y. Steven Ip, MD, and Melissa Locke] for taking such wonderful care of [her].”
