Jo-Ellen Tiberi spoke of her sister Jen’s interest in her husband, Gary Tiberi, after Sunday night’s episode of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island.
In addition to sharing that Jen had asked for Gary’s sperm, Jo-Ellen opened up about Jen’s jealousy of her marriage, confirmed whether Jen and Gary had dated, recalled yelling at her, and admitted to encouraging her sister to seek sperm from a sperm bank rather than from her spouse.
“Jen and I weren’t close in high school. Jen would drive to high school and would make me take the school bus, and we went to the same school at the same exact time … she was too cool for me … [But] payback’s a b*tch. Enjoy your single years when you’re 40, while I have my husband that you wanted,” Jo-Ellen declared on the April 19 episode of the RHORI: After Show.
Although some have suspected that Jen and Gary were an item, Jo-Ellen confirmed they were not.
“The funniest thing is that everyone is like .. ‘she married her sister’s boyfriend.’ Jen and Gary never dated. They never even kissed on the lips. He touched her boobs one time,” she noted.
Then, when co-star Alicia Carmody mentioned the ex-wife of Rulla Ponatrelli‘s husband, Brian Pontarelli, who was Alicia’s former high school Spanish teacher, Jo-Ellen said that she, too, was known to flirt with Gary.
“She’s hot. She always flirts with Gary. I’m like, ‘Can you f*cking back off my husband?’ And she’s such a lovely woman, but like, lay off my husband,” she stated.
Getting back to Jen, Jo-Ellen said, “I yell at her sometimes,” before mentioning an incident that had occurred days prior.
“I was like ‘I got to go. Gary’s here, but I have to leave.’ She’s like, ‘I’ll walk out with you.’ We’re walking down the driveway, and Jen’s like, ‘You know what? I’m gonna stay. I feel bad. He’s all my himself with the kids.’ I’m like, ‘Just marry him, have him!’” she recalled.
Acknowledging that Gary was a “phenomenal dad” and “loves [her],” Jo-Ellen mentioned that she’d never heard anyone say that they didn’t like him.
While Jo-Ellen went on to say that Gary laughs at everything Jen says because she’s “joking,” she admitted to getting frustrated at a comment she made about Gary’s sperm.
“She’s like, ‘Oh, Gary, I want to have a baby.’ Like she’s 41, and she’s like, ‘If I don’t have a baby by next year, can I have your sperm?’ … No. Go to a sperm bank. What would make my kids and her kids? Go to a bank,” she stated.
