Andy Cohen discussed Ciara Miller‘s potential exit from Summer House and the upcoming reunion, following West Wilson and Amanda Batula‘s romance scandal, during an interview on Monday.
As he also addressed the rumor about the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City mega-clause, spoke of the Real Housewives of Miami‘s pause, and explained his role at Bravo, Andy, 57, mentioned the success of Paige DeSorbo, 33, Hannah Berner, 34, and Ariana Madix, 40, and revealed how Lisa Vanderpump, 65, convinced him to move forward with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
“The reunion is going to be about letting everyone speak their piece. I saw Ciara last night, and she has a lot to say. I’m sure West and Amanda have a lot to say,” Andy teased during a May 4 interview with Vulture, noting that the taping, which took place last month, could be the “first three-part Summer House reunion.”
As for whether the show would survive without Ciara, Andy noted, “It’s not something you like to think about … But it’s also an opportunity to keep shows fresh.”
After noting that blogger involvement was one of the reasons the last season of The Real Housewives of Orange County was not its best, Andy responded to Deuxmoi’s claim that the cast of RHOSLC was dealt a “narrative integrity clause” for season seven that banned them from leaking storylines.
“I don’t do contracts anymore … [But] I think if they did add it, it would be a good idea,” he reasoned.
Moving on to the RHOM pause, Andy said he was simply not in charge.
“I’m only an EP of the Housewives and Watch What Happens Live … I get credit for everything, and I get blamed for everything,” he explained.
In recent years, a number of Bravo reality stars have made it big. And according to Andy, he takes “pride” in the success of people like Paige, Hannah, and Ariana since they were “birthed on Bravo.”
Reflecting on the early years of the Real Housewives, Andy confessed that he didn’t want to do RHOBH since The Real Housewives of Orange County had already launched. But then, he saw Lisa’s casting tape.
“I was like, Oh my God, she’s Jackie Collins,” he recalled.
