In a shocking turn of events, it has been reported that Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Dina Manzo and her husband, David Cantin, attempted to get a divorce before calling it off a year later.
In March 2025, court documents note that Dina filed for a legal separation from David after eight years of marriage.
In the California court filing, which Us Weekly obtained, Dina stated that she and David wed in June 2017 and split on March 4, 2025, the same day she filed paperwork to legally separate from him.
On March 10, 2025, David filed his own divorce paperwork in Florida, citing a wedding date of June 28, 2018, and insisting their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
He revealed Dina had been residing in Florida since 2021, and that was the last place they lived together as husband and wife.
In his documents, David asked the court to dole out their marital assets with an unequal distribution in his favor, due to him alleging that, during their marriage, he made “extraordinary contributions to the acquisition, enhancement and production of income or the improvement of both the marital assets and the non-marital assets.”
He also requested legal fees be awarded to him by the court to the “extent the wife engages in unnecessary… or vexatious litigation.”
In her filing, Dina also noted the pair had irreconcilable differences and asked for spousal support and attorney’s fees. While she promised to address any assets and debts at a later period in time, she did request that David not be awarded spousal support.
In April 2025, both parties put a pause on their cases “in an effort to resolve all issues in a dignified, private and cooperative manner” and “attempt to reach a mutually agreed upon resolution of all issues” without involving the courts.
Almost a year after their filing, both Dina and David requested that their petitions be dismissed on March 27.
While Dina and her team have yet to comment on the ordeal and what changed, David’s attorneys issued the following statement: “We do not comment about our clients or cases.”
On March 28, a day after they requested their petitions be dropped, Dina took to Instagram to share photos and videos she captioned “D&D 2.0 ❤️ {paradise edition}.”
The couple clearly looks happy together in the pics.
On March 7, she also praised David for a birthday party he threw for her, saying he set “the birthday bar dangerously high this year” and calling him her husband.
Regardless of what went on between the pair, it seems they are back on a good path and together for the foreseeable future.
