On May 9, Mikayla wrote a post calling out Taylor’s “destructive” and “dangerous behavior” — months after a video surfaced of Taylor throwing stools at her ex, Dakota Mortensen, while her child was in the room.
On a past season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Mikayla opened up about her childhood trauma. Years later, she met her husband, Jace Terry, who’s several years older than her. Mikayla was 16 when she got pregnant with his child, and she’s maintained that he never groomed her.
Recently, Taylor reposted a video from @tori.familycourtstrategist, who suggested that she doesn’t understand how Mikayla can be “advocating for childhood SA” while “marrying [her] perpetrator.”
Mikayla wrote, “Saying I can’t be an advocate for childhood SA because of my current relationship with my husband is so gross and dangerous for so many reasons. Nothing I’ve said has ever diminished what [Taylor has] been through.”
“But reposting narratives and accusations about situations you know nothing about is harmful,” she continued, via @secretlivesupdates on Instagram. “Don’t know if this slipped your mind, but my [REDACTED] happened for over 7 years starting when I was 6 years old. Six. Using my childhood trauma as some kind of public ‘gotcha’ to try and discredit me or try to put yourself in a position of power is deeply disturbing and below the belt.”
Mikayla said her recent statement was about the “dangerous behaviors of grown adults.”
“Not an invitation to weaponize my childhood trauma to your following,” she added.
Around the same time, Mikayla commented on a content creator’s post, claiming that Mikayla’s husband groomed her.
“Yeah, just so you know it’s illegal to say I was groomed by my husband as if it’s facts when that was NEVER the case [and is] 100% false,” wrote Mikayla, via @thesecretliveshq on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Taylor posted a cryptic message of her own, seemingly calling out Mikayla.
“Almost to the point of doing a live again. Seems like people are confused and falling for acts,” she said. “Given the history. We all know I’ll explain it all, so it makes sense of what’s REALLY going on for those who are speaking at me or about me.”
