Summer House stars West Wilson and Amanda Batula were caught fleeing the country prior to the first part of the reunion airing tonight.
Ever since the pair confirmed they were in a relationship — prior to the Summer House season 10 reunion taping — there has been a slew of drama surrounding them.
Deuxmoi received a photo of the pair at the airport, leaving the country. The outlet also received a tip about the couple.
“Please note this picture is at the airport, headed to Italy… Summer House’s West Wilson and Amanda Batula leave the country ahead of Summer House reunion,” they wrote alongside the photo.
They also included someone’s tip over the pic, which read, “West and Amanda spotted in Rome a few hours ago!!! Restaurant called Civico 4.”
Prior to beginning the reunion taping, West shared in a confessional what he hoped to get out of the day.
While he admitted that he was “not stoked,” but rather “happy to get it over with,” he said there was a “lot of good truth to be told today.”
“As scary as today is, good things can come today as well,” he said. “I think a timeline of this, of our modern relationship, is important to address, because there’s a lot of different speculations.”
“I don’t picture everything being perfect and kosher after, but I hope my accountability and like genuineness reaches through enough that like we leave today thinking that progress can be made down the road, you know?” he added.
Amanda also shared her hopes for the reunion in a separate confessional video.
“This is obviously the most nervous I’ve been, easily,” she noted, insisting she was ready to “clear everything up” and “face the chaos.”
“Clearing up the timeline and that there was like no affair and nothing malicious and it’s just two people that had feelings for each other that shouldn’t have,” she continued.
While she noted that making amends with everyone was potentially not possible, she said she hoped to move forward with some of her co-stars.
“I know that I might, like, not be able to make amends with everyone, but I’m hoping that after I say my piece and I clear everything up, we’ll be able to walk away with more understanding, process, and hopefully there’s some people I can move forward with,” she added. “I know it won’t all be forgiveness, but I’m hoping that there will be a path forward in some capacity.”
Amanda and West officially confirmed they were an item in a joint social media statement on March 31, noting they’d “seen the growing speculation” and thus decided to “provide some clarity,” even though this was “still very new.”
“It was never our intention to purposefully hide anything,” they shared at the time. “Given the complicated dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it.”
“We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing that either of us expected. Our connection grew out of a genuine, long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care,” they elaborated.
Amanda and West explained they stayed mum as their “feelings evolved” because they wanted to “take time to understand exactly what [they] were feeling.”
“We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they also shared. “We truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this.”
