Kristen Taekman said Bethenny Frankel was “horrible” to her – and shared why she thinks Bethenny treated her this way. The Real Housewives of New York City alum also recalled having to see Bethenny “every day” even after filming ended, as their kids “went to the same school.”
When Kristen was on RHONY, many fans thought castmates targeted her for no reason, as she was generally nice to almost everyone. Her biggest conflict was with Ramona Singer, who threw a plastic cup at her face (which seemed to draw blood).
“What was Bethenny like to you in that second season?” asked James Maas on Brandi Glanville Unfiltered.
“Horrible,” Kristen answered.
The alum said she thinks Bethenny treated her this way because she knew Kristen would be “easy.”
“She lived in my neighborhood, and when I was done filming, I freaking saw her every day because our kids went to the same school,” she continued. “You know how you’re like, ‘Yay, I’m done filming. I don’t have to see these people again.’ And then I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”
Back in 2021, a comedian who once worked on Bethenny’s daytime talk show recalled her own experience with her.
“[She’s the] rudest person on Earth,” said Jessica Kirson on the So What Do You Really Do? podcast. “I did warm up for her show for months, and she didn’t say hi to me once. She literally talked to me like I was a piece of s***.”
“For months, you never said hello, and you ordered me around like a dog,” the comedian tweeted about Bethenny that same year. “One day I walked off set because I had enough of your s***. … She was never like, hello, I’m Bethenny. Or, hi, thank you so much. You’re doing a great job. Or, hi, what’s your name?”
Jessica said she “had enough.”
“I took the microphone and put it down on the side of the stage and literally left. I was like, I’m done,” she said. “I [would] rather do comedy on the street with a bucket than be treated like that.”
