Taylor Ann Green opened up about ex-boyfriend Gaston Rojas‘ alleged cheating on Nick Viall‘s podcast on Tuesday.
Just over a week after confirming the end of their nearly three-year relationship, the 31-year-old Southern Charm alum confirmed when she believed Gaston began cheating, explained how she found out, and admitted to feeling relief, while also detailing her communication with his supposed other woman and sharing her last interaction with Gaston.
“It allegedly began in October, the end of October,” Taylor began on the June 2 episode of The Viall Files. “Weirdly enough, I was in church, and Gaston and I had been talking about the next steps in our relationship, marriage, all of those things, and I felt like we were just at this time where I’m going, ‘Okay, is this gonna be the guy that I spend the rest of my life with?’ Like, ‘Make it known if this is not my person.’ And within an hour, which, this is something I never do, I went to go look into my DMs, and there was a DM from a burner account.”
According to Taylor, the message alleged that Gaston had been seen getting into his black Tesla with another woman on Valentine’s Day, when she was away in New York City for work. But when Taylor confronted her now-ex-partner, he denied it.
“This was all a very big shock, just because our relationship was so focused around loyalty, and it feels like anytime my ex had a chance to bring up like, loyalty, respect, trust, honesty, that is what he drilled into our relationship and coming out of a relationship where I was cheated on and there wasn’t loyalty, I valued loyalty the most, and I kind of ignored all the other red flags and just honed in and said, ‘Alright well, at least he’s not cheating on me,’” she shared.
As Taylor did her best to remain trusting of Gaston, she continued to hear swirling rumors about his potential infidelity for weeks, even from Naomie Olindo, 33, who called her about the claims against him.
While Taylor and Gaston ended up splitting due to “fundamental differences,” Taylor remained curious about what had gone down.
“We had gotten into a silly argument, and I just said, ‘I don’t like the way that you speak to me. I don’t feel that you speak to me the way you should speak to someone that you love. And I don’t know if I can do this anymore.’ I walked away, and I got all my stuff out of the house,” Taylor recalled.
Although Taylor was “torn” about the decision to break up at the time, she ultimately reached out to the alleged other woman after learning her name.
“[I] ended up messaging her, and her stories weren’t lining up with his. I didn’t know he was out to dinner with some women [on Valentine’s Day]. [Gaston] told me he was out to dinner with just one of his guy friends,” she explained. “[And] he is still denying it to this day.”
During her interaction with the woman, Taylor said she confirmed that she had dated Gaston years prior and remained in touch with him via DMs. Taylor also found out that the woman lived part-time in NYC and part-time in Charleston, which immediately set off a light bulb.
“There was a time that he went up to New York and was extremely sketchy, wasn’t speaking to me the whole night … I’d asked him what he was up to, and he said that he went back to the hotel room to use the bathroom. After he didn’t respond to me for an hour and a half, I then just said, ‘Well, I’m going to bed. It doesn’t make me feel good that I haven’t really been hearing from you.’ And then the next morning, he missed his flight,” she shared.
Taylor went on to confront the woman about her supposed Valentine’s Day encounter with Gaston.
“She stopped responding, screenshot all our DMs, [and] sent them to my ex … I don’t know if they’re trying to get their story straight or what. But at this point, everything is out there that I need to know,” Taylor reasoned. “My heart is still beating. [But] I’m still alive and well, and honestly, I feel a sense of relief. I feel very at peace and good with my decision of walking away.”
Taylor then confirmed that she had not seen Gaston in person since their breakup and detailed their last conversation.
“He had texted me and said, ‘I’d appreciate if you didn’t reach out to my mom and tell her that you still love me and make these allegations that I’ve been cheating on you.’ I was like, ‘I have enough proof,’ and he’s going, ‘Ha, ha, ha, ha,’ laughing in my face, saying, ‘You don’t have any proof.’ No, ‘I’m sorry. This is hurtful. I feel very remorseful about all of this.’ We basically ended our almost three-year relationship via text,” she stated.
