Could Taylor Ann Green be rekindling her past romance with Shep Rose following her recent split from Gaston Rojas?

While appearing on Nick Viall‘s podcast on Tuesday, the 31-year-old Southern Charm alum confirmed she and Shep, 46, were in touch, reflected on the toxic parts of her relationship with Gaston, and more.

“I have [spoken to Shep since the split]. And I have seen the rumors that we’re like, getting back together … and that is not true,” Taylor clarified on the June 2 episode of The Viall Files. “Even if I wanted to hook up with Shep again or get back together, one, I would hope I’d have a little more respect for myself to go from one cheating ex to the other.”

She added, “Shep is a very logical human being, and he’s not the type of person to be like, ‘Yeah, let’s do it. Let’s get back together.’ He would inevitably say, ‘No. I don’t think that’s the right thing to do.’”

When it comes to their current relationship, Taylor said Shep cares about her and her family, which is why she reached out to him after her breakup.

“I did reach out to him after the breakup, and he was, I mean, he was kind of beside himself, honestly. He was like, ‘I cannot believe that you are here sitting here right in front of me. I cannot believe you reached out. I just care about you. I think about you all the time. I think about your family. I think about your brother. There’s so many times I want to reach out to you, but I feel like I just couldn’t because your ex was like, holding you hostage,’ which I felt like he was to an extent,” Taylor noted. “I felt very isolated from my friends and definitely people on the cast.”

According to Taylor, she felt Gaston tried to put a distance between her and her friends and family.

“He was just slowly pulling me away from friends, opportunities, even my family to an extent. He belittled me in that. He’s like, ‘You see your family all the time.’ Well, yeah, we’re very close. I love to see my family all the time,” Taylor recalled.

Looking back on their arguments, Taylor said Gaston would always pull Shep into the mix.

“Every single time that we had any argument, he would bring up my ex, Shep,” she shared. “He almost degraded me and my past relationship. He’d always say, ‘Oh, well, you know, you were with this guy that would run around town and cheat on you. That’s all he did was cheat on you, cheat on you, cheat on you.’ And that was very hurtful … Every time he would bring it up, I was just so confused, like, ‘Why are you still talking about this? We haven’t dated in four years?”

Moving on to Southern Charm, Taylor said she “would love to get [her] job back.”

“I don’t know if that’s a hundred percent possibility. But I needed time away from the show, no doubt, for my mental [health],” she explained.

Although Taylor stood by her decision to leave the show in 2025, she noted that it wasn’t entirely her choice.

“I was held at an ultimatum with my ex, saying, ‘Either you go to the show, or you date me,’ and I was already on the fence of going, ‘I need time away,’” she explained.
