Katie Maloney weighed in on Jo Wenberg‘s recent revisiting of her short-lived, years-old romance with Tom Schwartz.
After Tom’s former flame, whom he dated for just months in early 2023, seemingly compared their situation to what Summer House star Ciara Miller, 30, went through with West Wilson, 31, and Amanda Batula, 34, and accused Tom, 43, of “toying with her mental health,” Katie, 40, shared a short message on social media that seemed to be in reference to the ex-couple’s latest drama.
First, Jo weighed in on Ciara’s love triangle with West and Amanda.
“If you’ve ever had someone take your story — your actual life — and run with it on podcasts and lives and interviews… while you were expected to stay quiet and take it? This is for you,” Jo began.
“They get the mic. They get the sympathy. They get to play the victim or the hero or whatever version serves them that day. And you’re left sitting there with no closure, no voice, and somehow ‘you’re’ the one who looks like the a*shole,” she continued. “And the worst part? You can’t even defend yourself without looking crazy.”
Jo, who appeared alongside Tom on a handful of episodes of Vanderpump Rules, also shared a series of additional posts after being called out for bringing up Tom, who is currently dating Kiana Carroll, 27, so many years after their split.
After someone wanted to know why she still wasn’t over the romance, Jo explained, “Because he never gave me closure. And he still talks about it. So forgive me for also being allowed to talk about something that happened to me. Healing isn’t a deadline.”
Another person pointed out that she wanted to be seen on Pump Rules, which Jo denied.
“I was asked to film one scene while I was in a relationship where I was being gaslit. One scene turned into many. That’s not something I orchestrated — that’s something that happened to me while I was trying to navigate a really painful situation.”
A third asked, “Why are you still talking about it?”
“Because I’m finally strong enough to,” Jo replied. “Watching it back and seeing how happy I was — that’s the part that gets me. I had no idea. I’m allowed to feel that and say that out loud.”

“She should let him go,” Katie wrote on Threads in response to Jo’s post.

Jo’s posts were made after Tom appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where he admitted to having a soft spot for her.
“I haven’t talked to Jo in a long time. I blocked her on pretty much everything. But I gotta say, I got a soft spot for her, so I hope she’s thriving,” he stated. “I’m gonna give her a shoutout. I hope she’s doing really well.”
In response, Jo offered a message, also on her Instagram Story.
“I’d like to tag Tom Schwartz, but I’m blocked,” she wrote. “Please take me out of your soft spot in your heart that you have for me … I’ve never gotten a response or closure … Talk to me and apologize.”
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
