Brittany Cartwright opened up about the drama she faced with her now-ex-boyfriend, Brandon Hanson, and his ex-girlfriend, after Wednesday’s episode of The Valley as Lala Kent, 35, and Kristen Doute, 43, confirmed they received text messages from Brandon after their split, and Lala detailed what Brandon sent her.
First, Brittany discussed finding out about another woman as she confirmed whether she and Brandon are still in touch and revealed whether she was currently single.
“There was a lot of drama with his ex that he was putting on my shoulders. He kept saying to her that he was coming here and kind of rubbing it in her face as well,” Brittany began on the June 10 episode of The Valley: After Show. “Before I even had my surgery, I had texted him, and I said, ‘I don’t think this is gonna work out,’ and then we just kind of like, kept hanging out.”
Then, as they continued to spend time with one another post-split, Brittany found out about another woman.
“After we ended things, his ex DMs me again and is like, ‘He’s already hanging out with this girl. My kids have already been around her,” she revealed as Kristen shared that one of Brandon’s daughters was at the woman’s home.
“Brittany was like, ‘Bye,’” she recalled.
According to Kristen, Brandon didn’t seem to want to contribute to his relationship with Brittany.
“I think that he had this idea in his mind of what it was all gonna be like, like, life with her. And he didn’t want to give, but he wanted to receive. He was just like, raking in the dough and then hanging out with another woman and lying to her face, and just like, ew,” she stated.
She then said that after he and Brittany stopped hanging out, both she and Lala received texts.
“I was like, ‘No bro, we’re not still friends,’” Kristen clarified.
“And he had met Lala one time,” Brittany noted. “Kristen texted me immediately and was like, ‘He texted me and [Luke Broderick]. We are not responding.’ And then when we told Lala that she was like, ‘Well, damn it, I wouldn’t have responded.”
Looking back at the text she received, Lala said, “He just said, ‘Hey, so I don’t think me and Brittany are going to be seeing each other anymore. For me, the long distance has just become a lot, and I really need to focus on my kids and getting things in place here. I wanted to reach out and thank you for being so nice to me, and you are so cool, and I wish you all the best with your babies. Take care.’”
“I thought we were all gonna end it in a really kosher way. I wrote some thoughtful message to send him on his way so he’s left with a great taste in his mouth about all of us,” she continued.
Meanwhile, Nia Booko, 36, thought it was “weird” for Brandon to reach out to Brittany’s friends.
“I mean, he was related to me, apparently. And he didn’t text me,” she reasoned.
Jasmine Goode, 38, was also confused.
“I had a bigger relationship with him, like a stronger relationship at that time,” she shared.
Jasmine then confirmed that Brandon was “still texting her to this day, trying to get back with her.”
“She’s like, ‘I told him it’s never happening. It’s done,’” she revealed as Zack Wickham proclaimed, “No! This is a prime example of Brittany doesn’t want to tell me because she’s thinking about it.”
Although Brittany did admit that she and Brandon “talk sometimes as friends,” and that Brandon was still “trying to come see [her],” she insisted she’s “not going back there.”
“I’m still single, but I do have like, a crush,” she explained. “It’s new. I’m not about to show the world someone new, and it end up the same way, so we’re gonna wait a little bit.”
The Valley season three airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
