The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Shamea Morton clarified comments that she made to K. Michelle about former RHOA star Kandi Burruss.
As was previously reported, Shamea and Michelle were hanging out one night, and Shamea was going to meet Kandi. She did not invite Michelle to keep hanging out due to Kandi being loyal to Rashida, an enemy of Michelle’s.
Sitting down with Carlos King, Shamea further elaborated on the situation, explaining that Michelle asked her where she was going and who she was meeting.
“I’m like, ‘I’m meeting with Kandi.’ ‘Why y’all ain’t invite me?’ I’m like, ‘Well, girl, you know. Like, now you know damn well like, Kandi and Rashida, she… Kandi’s loyal to a fault. She’s not gonna…’ Like, I never said Kandi hates you. She don’t like you.”
Shamea had more to share, stating, “And so when I went there, even with Kandi, I was like, ‘K wanted to come.’ She was like, ‘Nah, I’m not, you know, you know, I can’t do that. I mean, I like her, but I can’t… Rashida is my girl.’ And that was it. I didn’t even think it was an issue. But then, of course, you know, K’s thing is like, you know, ‘Oh, you keep telling me that your friends don’t like me…'”
“I told her that, ‘K, regardless of whether or not you have beef with any of the people that I’m friends with, I don’t care,'” Shamea added.
Kandi, for her part, took to Threads to issue a reaction to all of the drama.
“I’m just trying to live my best life & every other week my name gets dragged into some bullsh*t 😒,” she wrote.
As Reality Blurb previously reported, in a sneak peek of an upcoming RHOA episode, Michelle hinted that Kandi was causing a divide between her and Shamea.
“I have Shamea back more than anything, but for you to keep saying to me, ‘Nobody in Atlanta wants me to be your friend,’ I don’t want to hear about no goddamn Kandi Koated Nights. But I like you, and that’s what I’ll lean to,” Michelle shares in a confessional.
