The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives world was rocked again yesterday when it was revealed that Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex Tate Paul had filed for a restraining order against her.

In addition, he had requested sole custody of their kids.

Today, his request was turned down, according to court documents Us Weekly obtained.

“As Tate himself recognizes, many of his supporting allegations are based upon inadmissible hearsay, without any corroborating evidence,” the legal documents read. “Many of the concerns, like the children not doing well in school and expressing sadness will require ongoing attention not remedied with an emergency order changing custody.”

“The court acknowledges that what he is allegedly hearing can create anxiety, but contrary to the claim that the children are in immediate danger, Taylor proffers that Tate left the children with her from June 11 through the 17, 2026, while he went to Iceland,” the documents also stated. “The court cannot find an immediate and irreparable harm as contemplated by Rule 65A, and the motion is denied.”

TMZ had initially obtained the legal document where Tate had filed his request with their 2022 divorce proceedings.

The documents also noted that Tate submitted five exhibits and a declaration in support of his request. The filings are sealed, and thus, it is unknown what prompted Tate to seek a restraining order.

Taylor also had an issue with another ex recently, as Dakota Mortensen called the cops on her again.

All of these issues with her baby daddies prompted her mother, Liann May, to speak out on her Instagram Story.

“Both dads know 100 damn right that Taylor’s a GREAT mother!” she wrote. “Trying to keep them away from her is only going to hurt my grandbabies!”

“They LOVE their mommy more than anyone or anything in this world & they both know it,” Liann added with a sad face.

News also broke today that Taylor recently attended a week-long stint in rehab.

“[Taylor] checked into a facility upon the recommendation of her doctor,” an insider told PEOPLE on June 30, noting that the stay was “voluntary.”

“She’s committed to getting better,” they shared.

A second source added, “The people around Taylor want her to get help [and] want to see her get better … Everyone is just trying to protect the kids.”
