In a preview for the upcoming season one finale of In The City, Amanda Batula suggested to her ex, Kyle Cooke, that they go on a double date with West Wilson.
As fans are well aware, Amanda and West’s big reveal in March that they were a couple caused quite the controversy.
In the upcoming finale, Amanda sat down with Kyle after she and West were already an item and suggested they try to move forward with a double date with Kyle and his rumored flame at the time, Southern Charm star Salley Carson.
“Maybe me, you, West, and Salley can all get dinner together,” Amanda said to Kyle.
While Kyle didn’t answer, he appeared to be uncomfortable with the idea.
Unfortunately for fans, his ultimate answer won’t be revealed until the finale airs next Tuesday.
In last night’s penultimate episode, Amanda finally declared that her marriage to Kyle was over as she admitted his DJ’ing gig was the final straw.
“Not only is he committed to this tour and all these gigs, something that we didn’t even talk about, he’s excited about it,” she stated in a confessional regarding Kyle’s DJ bookings.
“This man is planning his future without me in it,” she continued. “No matter how many times he tells people that he’s making efforts, his actions prove otherwise. There’s something in my gut that feels like this is the end.”
“I think there’s a lot of history between us and a lot of things that not everyone’s privy to,” Amanda told her friend group at a dinner. “But, like, my opinions and my feelings on this are gonna probably be different than all of yours. But we can still be happy for him and celebrate him. It doesn’t have to be one way or the other. It would be nice to have, like, had a conversation about it…”
Kyle piped in to say he “tried multiple times” to discuss the situation with Amanda in previous months.
“Kyle hasn’t wanted to come home since the day we started dating,” Amanda added. “He’s had late nights and been absolutely f*cking s*it-faced since we started to do a hard reset with the…”
“Your hard reset consisted of you doing nothing,” Kyle interjected.
Kyle also declared he “might actually spiral,” and Amanda ended up leaving the dinner.
“I think I just need to excuse myself,” she shared. “My whole body is shaking. I’m just having, like, a physical reaction to all of this right now. I just need a moment.”
