Vicki Gunvalson has filed a lawsuit against a man she claims tried to ruin her reputation and cost her a ton of money.
Two years after she was sued by a woman named Diane Field, who accused her of financial elder abuse, the 64-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star filed a countersuit against financial advisor Gary Vyneman and his financial management company, who allegedly convinced Diane, their mutual client, to file the case against her.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ on July 10, Vicki claimed that Gary informed Diane that she had given her bad financial advice, and he recommended that Diane sue her for doing so, which not only defamed Vicki but also cost her financially.
In her statements to the court, Vicki insisted that what Gary had told Diane was untrue, describing his claims as false and misleading, as she denied any wrongdoing. She also said that she acted in good faith with Diane when it came to her finances.
At the time that Diane’s lawsuit was filed against her, Vicki’s attorney released a statement.
“The claims alleged against Gunvalson are completely false. Gunvalson has always acted professionally and with the utmost truthfulness and integrity in every transaction that she acted as an insurance agent for her clients,” the lawyer shared. “She has never engaged in any fraudulent conduct nor misrepresented any terms of any policy. She vehemently denies the false allegations made against her in the lawsuit by Mrs. Lile.”
Vicki is seeking unspecified damages in her case against Gary and his company.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 20 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
